“I’d say it makes me feel too young, but hey… that’s not necessarily a bad thing,” Cassidy remarked, after greeting Marshall pleasantly much in the same manner as everyone else had. She liked the lanky werewolf, but the fact that he was so shy and withdrawn… it wasn’t something Cassidy was necessarily used to. But with Marshall, she could accept it, and even admire it, really. It was part of who he was.
And feeling young can be bad when you’re a wolf… of the ‘were’ variety, anyway. Her mind was still foggy with sleep; she wasn’t even sure she understood what she was thinking about.

"That's makes two of us, Cass," Sissy said as her stomach rumbled loudly. "And that's what I get for missing one of Heidi's awesome breakfasts in favor of chocolate and pretzels!"
She glanced over to Marshall. "Hey, Marsh, have you eaten anything since the day before yesterday?" She had discovered that he sometimes had the tendency to not eat during the full moon.
She glanced at Heidi and gave a little grin. She supposed that she'd let the Beta off this time.

Marshall looked to Sissy and, in response to her question, looked a bit sheepish. He rarely ate during the full moon and it usually took someone- Sissy- badgering him before he would do so. He knew that he really should take a bit more care with such things, but the simple fact was that he simply had no care for food during such a time.

She gave him a look and gave a sigh, shaking her head. Closing her book- she would find her place again later- she got up and moved over to him, taking his sleeve. "Well, come on then. You know that I'm not going to let you get away with not eating. We'll scrounge something up and then head to my room. You can root around in my collection and find something to read. I've got a ton of mysteries that you haven't read yet."
She gave a grin and a little wave to the others with the hand holding the book. "I'll see the three of you later." She motioned slightly with her head to Marshall. "I'm going to go make sure this one actually eats something." With that, she headed for the door.

Heidi waved at the departing wolves, then looked at Dia. She was still blushing, though not as forcefully, and she smiled. "Right. Naptime. If there's more discussion to be had, we'll have it later....much, much later."
Glancing at Cassidy, she added, "Don't be too long in avoiding the kitchen. You need your strength this time of the month. If everyone's really nice to me," she added mischievously, "I'll make chocolate cake after I've slept."

And then there were two… or there would be very shortly, when Heidi full left the library. Inside, Cassidy’s wolf gave a little pine, but she silenced it. That had all been rather abrupt. A minute ago, they’d had a full circle of conversationalists, and very, very soon, it would just be Dia and herself… which made her a little uneasy. It wasn’t that she disliked Dia; very much the opposite. It was just that they never had anything to talk about, unlike Cassidy and Heidi. Not that Dia didn’t read, presumably…
Stop the mental rambling before you strain something.
“Cake? I think we’re all sold. We love you, Heidi!” Cassidy gave a bright, youthful grin, and laughed quietly, falling silent soon after. That would have been so much more amusing if she hadn’t been alone with the two dominant females…

Heidi laughed. But she could see plain enough that Cassidy was a little uneasy about being left with the Alpha; she understood that. She had never liked being left alone with Dia's predecessor, Alswytha.
Of course, that was a comparison that was hardly fair. Dia was ten times as approachable as Alswytha had ever been, at least during the years Heidi had been in her pack. What she had been like before that, Heidi really didn't know; by the time she had been introduced to the pack, Cole and Dia were already Betas, and the reason of the Alpha male Gareth had long since begun to slip.
"I suppose I'm sufficiently wheedled to make cake," she replied. "Tell you what...I'm not as tired now as I thought I was. Why don't I make the cake first, and then take my nap? You can come and help me, Cass, and get something to eat while you're at it." Heidi offered Dia a smile. "You can supervise if you want, chieftainess."

“Breakfast and cake making?” She pondered, and then smirked. “Say no more.” She unfolded her legs from beneath her, and stood with a surprising amount of grace for someone who looked as if they hadn’t had enough sleep. She’d probably had too much, if anything, which had succeeded in making her feel groggy, annoyingly. But at least her wolf seemed content, after having been allowed out for the night, even if it was spent curled up on the bed.
Turning green eyes to Dia as she moved to stand with Heidi, Cassidy wondered if their Alpha female would join them. A large part of her hoped she would; Cassidy did like her company, so long as she wasn’t left alone in it. And since Dia was the only Alpha female Cassidy had ever known, there was a certain comfort factor about the older werewolf’s presence.

"I suppose that's as good a reason as any to be nice," she replied with a slight smirk, chuckling at the 'title' Heidi had apparently bestowed upon her. In other words, she'd let the matter of teasing Heidi drop for the moment. Too much of it and the fun of the situation would be gone. Not that it was her intention to 'poke fun' at the Beta as simply point out an observation that perhaps the other female had been overlooking. It just happened that Heidi's ignoring of the obvious was a bit amusing.
In her opinion even if nothing developed between the Beta and William, acknowledging the state might do Heidi some good. The Beta had never seemed to mind being unattached to anyone in that manner, But Dia knew Heidi's stoicism a bit too well to take it at face value. It was perhaps something to be noted that sside from she and Cole there was certainly a higher number of pack members without mates than with.
"You know, we are going to have to find you a good nickname too." Her eyes moved from Heidi to Cass as she stood. "I have a feeling Cass could help come up with a good one."

"That's an unsettling notion," Heidi replied with a laugh. "But I'll survive." She grinned at Cassidy. "Come on, you two, let's get down to the kitchen before my wolf changes her mind and demands that nap."

The library was one of her favourite places to be, especially during the evenings. If it had been winter, she would have ignited the fireplace, but it wasn’t cold enough for that; it was just comfortable enough for the light sweater she wore, and the fluffy socks on her feet. She only wore shoes around the hotel if she had to, and since she didn’t plan to move — at least not far — for some time, she didn’t see the need to keep them on her feet. So they sat at the base of the cosy armchair she was curled up in.
Asher was nearby, probably roaming the stacks quietly and curiously, as was his way. She could smell him from where she sat, taking comfort in the knowledge that he was comfortable enough to roam, and safe. She was trying to tackle another large book she had had in her possession for some time, by a Russian author. It had more-than-heavy hints of the supernatural, and even though she was only a few chapters in, she was already enjoying the story.

He cocked his head to the side as he read the title of something that sounded that it could prove to be a quite interesting read. He was one of those people to judge a book by its cover before making a final decision on whether he should read said book. Sad to say...he usually chose the brightly colored books. And they usually ended up to be rather distasteful or mind-numbingly boring.
He let out a rather long sigh before sliding out something he felt completely safe with reading. 'The Hobbit'...at least it wasn't a werewolf book. Which was one of the things he'd pass up any day. He was too busy being a werewolf to read about them or watch movies on them. Ash padded back over to Tina's side plopping down on another armchair and curling up slightly. He flipped open the book and began reading. Silently figuring that by the time he was Cole's age he would have memorized the majority of Tolkien's books.

Tina smiled peacefully at Ash’s reappearance, taking comfort in it, in her own way.
When did you become such a mother-hen? Her wolf almost seemed to roll its eyes at her, amused but with a hint of mocking. She hunkered down in her chair and smiled sheepishly at herself, ignoring all thoughts or doubts about how she — or her wolf — felt around Ash. The younger wolf confided in her, and relaxed around her, and she was touched by that trust. That was all there was to it.

Ash perked up when Tina moved slightly. He didn't want to seem overly cautious around her. But he always kept an eye and ear out for Tina. If her stomach growled, he knew. She was sleepy...he knew. Ash wrinkled his nose softly...he was starting to think it was odd of him. But Tina had been the only one who hadn't attempted to get him out of his room or push any sort of conversion on him.
Tina was just Tina. Ash sighed heavily, letting his shoulders sag as he relaxed in his chair. He fit himself in an odd position where he could lay his head on the arm of the chair. He wanted to flip to the part with the dragon. But he had this odd concept in his mind that one really shouldn't flip parts in a book.

The pout reappeared on her face as she entered the library to find it empty. Not only was she failing in her Cole hunt but she had yet to see a single other member of the pack. Oh she had heard some, yes she had but that was what tape recorders were for. At this rate Meghan was going to start getting paranoid and worry that everyone else in the hotel had been abducted by little green or grey aliens from outer space. And if that had happened then it was really unfair that they had left her behind. She wanted to be alien abducted too!
“I’m feeling very unloved…” she muttered to herself as she wandered the stacks, absently scanning the titles at eye level. Meghan was always on the lookout for something new to experience and while she was in the library, she may as well find something new to read. The tune from her fan song was still in her head and she hummed it lightly as she moved, her finger running along the many spines of books.
