When Mimi shoved away from him, Bo let her, watching her go and remaining in place instead of pursuing her. People needed space sometimes, and even if the wolf inside of him itched to get closer and make sure she was okay, protective and possessive rolled into one, and when she slumped against the wall and down to the floor he threw caution to the wind, said to hell with it on the inside, and closed enough distance to crouch down smoothly and easily in her line of sight.
"Hey," he said, reaching out just enough to brush the tips of his fingers against her leg. "It's okay, you don't have to go back in there." Anyone who said otherwise would have to go through him first and even if they managed to get past him, Mimi was her own person, she was entitled to make her own choices and she was well within her own rights to say no. "It's all right, they won't touch you again." He would make sure of that.

Mimi swallowed against the thick press of bile at the back of her throat. Even over the panicked thunder of her heart, Bo's voice sunk in, and that was enough to settle her jangling nerves. Part of her was all set to burst into tears, but a louder and decidedly more stubborn part was convinced that she needed to pull her sorry act together. If nothing else, it was enough for Mimi to gather herself; she reached for Bo's hand and squeezed tight when she found it.
"I think I might be a little too country for this rough-housin'," she managed weakly. Her self-defense training was all well and good, but there was a difference between fending off a mugger and fighting through a whole, moon-crazed pack of drunks. The hand not holding onto Bo lifted to shakily comb back through her tousled hair when she took a deep breath. This would most certainly not be a tale that she would be regaling her folks with.
"Would you take me home?" Mimi met the werewolf's gaze, unable to help the sheepish tone of her voice. "Please?"

Mimi's hand found his and he gave her a smile. A smirk, really, something a little more characteristically Bo Elridge, the sort of thing she had found appealing in the first place rather than something any Joe Nobody could offer her. "Oh, please, you and I both know you can kick ass and take names whenever you want to." There was a playful hint of the wolf in his gaze when he spoke but not enough to suggest that they go back inside and show those men the error of their ways. Honestly, if Bo let himself get started, really go for it, he wasn't so sure he would be able to stop. It was best left alone.
"Of course," he mumbled with a nod, some of the Bo from years gone by rising to the surface, the upper-class young gentleman who had been raised to mind his manners and treat a lady well. Helping her up from the ground was the first step, making sure she was steady was the next before he said, "My bike's around front. You know me, I hate parking it anywhere out of sight." Unless that somewhere was a garage where there was no risk of it being stolen. Gently he started to escort her in that direction, offering her a reassuring smile as they went. They'd get her back to her place and everything would be fine.
