Katrina decided that enough was enough. "Eli." Her voice rang out in the alleyway and she jumped lightly to the ground, sauntering over to where the now human was laying against the wall.
"Well well. The would be hero picks a fight he couldn't win. Tut tut." She leaned down, looking at him, allowing her eyes to blacken though she wasn't hungry any longer.
"And who do you belong to, handsome?" She extended a finger and swept up a drop of blood from his cheek, licking it carefully.

Nick recoiled from the touch, trying and failing not to wince as pain shot through body like a violent tide. "Not all of us belong to someone." Normally, he would have come up with something witty to say, but at the moment, the pain was so intense that his mind didn't want to take the time for such at thing. "I sure as hell don't."

"I thought all you dogs ran together." She stood and went over to Eli, putting her hand on his haunches where he crouched. "Not my Eli though. He's special." Looking at the bloodied man on the ground, she smoothly pulled her dagger from her sheathe. "Isn't it pretty? Silver too." She tossed it once and caught it smoothly. "Shame I've eaten already - lycan blood is quite substantial. I thank you for your addition to her fear - she was delicious." Brushing her hair behind her ears, she gathered her power around her like a cloak and looked to Eli. "Are you hungry Eli? I will allow you to choose his fate for your battle win."

Crouched in preparation, should this now-human werewolf decide he would try one last-ditch attempt, Eli growled quietly. Listening to Katrina, and feeling her hand on him, he was reassured that he had succeeded; he hadn't disappointed her tonight.
As she offered him his victory prize, he regarded the downed lycanthrope almost thoughtfully. In the back of his head, his human side whispered how it was wrong; he blinked slowly, considering his fallen opponent. He had won the fight; his work here was done. He made a low sound to Katrina, letting her know in his own way that he didn't think the losing party was worth the trouble... and feral though he was, Eli was no cannibal.

Nick managed to push himself into a better sitting position, his body protesting. He was hurting badly and the fact that he was now faced with a vampire holding a silver dagger did nothing to help improve his mood. He swallowed hard and leaned his head back against the wall, watching. He wasn't sure he could get up, but he thought that he might be able to put up a little bit of a fight if he really had to. He wasn't certain, though, and really didn't want to have to test it.

Katrina nodded and patted Eli on the head. "Such a good dog." Her voice was chillingly without the light tone that would normally go with praise. She turned her attention back to the human. "Oh look, it's trying to make itself bigger to be less weak seeming. Isn't that cute?"
Katrina walked over until she could look directly down at the man. "Now - we're going to leave you here. Eli's not terribly hungry and as luck is on your side, neither am I. As delectable as you look..." She looked for a moment like she might change her mind. But it was all an act - Katrina just loved to watch fear play across faces - it was like art to her.
"Get out of here." Her voice became harsh. "Cross me again and you will not fare as well, for I'll not call off my dog. Or worse, I will play myself." She walked past Eli - gesturing for him to follow her and didn't look back.

As his vampire 'owner' walked past him, Eli locked eyes on the downed wolf again, meeting his gaze almost sternly, as if to remind it how lucky it really was. The gesture to follow was not ignored for long, however, and after a few moments, he turned his eyes away with a final growl, and padded predatorily after Katrina.
No doubt they would head back to the car, and then back to Carey Hall. Eli's clothing would likely be abandoned; it would have to be seen whether or not Katrina would replace the attire, but if she did, it would hardly be new, or bought - the vampire had her ways of keeping him clothed and fed, and he knew better than to question those methods.

Nick sat for a moment, watching them go. He knew that he was lucky that he was being allowed to walk away- however painful that would actually be- and he was in no hurry to have a repeat of the night.
Leaning heavily against the wall, he slid his back up it as he slowly got his legs under him. His clothes were all but destroyed, but that was the least of his worries. Driving home was going to be rough.
Finally managing to stand, he kept his back to the wall for a moment, trying to ensure that he wouldn't fall over when he took a step. When he was sure that he could balance properly, he started slowly towards where he had left his things, pain washing over him with every step.

Katrina led Eli back to the car and told him "Wait here."
I feel disgustingly charitable tonight. Ah well, it won't last. She moved through the shadows until she found what she sought - a clothing store. She pulled the front door open, ignoring the subsequant alarms. Cameras didn't bother her - even if they got her image, it wouldn't be clear. Moving through she snatched a few things and made her way back to the car, leaving the store open to looters.
Returning, she dropped the items at Eli's feet. "Change back and get dressed. We're leaving."

When she dropped the things in front of him, he looked down at them, up at Katrina - given that he was somewhat hunched down on all fours, and therefore shorter than her for a change - and then back down. Knowing her charity would only last so long, he wasted little time in doing what he was told. The change was brisk, as always, and though not without discomfort, he told himself not to feel it. His fresh injuries would heal, but they would sting for a while, and the bleeding was already almost stopped. He dressed himself quickly, shifting in the new clothing for a moment, and then he got back into the car.

After slowly gathering up his things and getting back into his jacket and shoes, his scarab pendant around his neck once again, Nick started slowly around the outside of the club, reaching a hand, which trembled slightly, into his pocket to fish out his keys. He wasn't scared by what had happened- over five centuries had helped him learn that fear really didn't do anything for him- but he was a little worried about the drive home. Please just let me get there without hurting anyone in the process, he thought, finding himself back at the front of the club. Peering around to make sure there was no one that was likely to notice the state of his clothes, he made a beeline for his car, pressing the button to disarm the alarm.
Pulling open the door, he slid behind the wheel and shut the door a little harder than he really needed to. For a moment, he sat hunched over the wheel, breathing shallowly. Even breathing hurt at the moment.
When he sat back up, he fumbled for a moment, trying to fit the key into the ignition. Finally, he found his mark and started up the car. Fastening his seatbelt, he pulled carefully out of the parking lot. Thinking of nothing but the bed that was awaiting him at his apartment.

Continued from: Club Interior.
Standing near the back door, shrouded in the alley's shadows, Marco narrowed his eyes as he watched. Now that he was free of the swarming scents from the interior of the club, he could pick up the smell from the man. He wasn't human at all; he was a vampire as well.
What was she thinking? She obviously had no intentions of going anywhere with the male, and if he didn't know better, she seemed to be tense; ready for a fight, and possibly, a kill. His eyes narrowed even more, and his wolf shifted restlessly... uneasy.
For now, he would watch. If anything else out of the ordinary took place, he would either intervene, or walk back inside.

Marco watched the entire scene unfold, wary now. A very low growl rumbled at the base of his throat, but was forbidden to rise. He watched the male vampire fall to the ground, and almost start to convulse, before his keen eyes turned on the female instead. How had she affected her ‘victim’ that way? His body tensed, and he barely breathed.
She’s a vampire, he reminded himself, trying to think through the situation logically. Vampires should be able to ‘feed’ from one another without penalty. What’s so different about this one that caused… this?
Of course, he wouldn’t know if he didn’t ask, but he wasn’t so sure he really wanted to know. If she wanted to go about killing her own kind, then that was her choice, and her right; it was really none of his business.

"Well, I work here," Marco responded flatly, looking to the completely lifeless corpse on the floor, and making a low noise as he half-stepped out of the shadows. "It's in my unofficial job description to make sure the patrons don't become part of the menu..."
He turned his eyes back to her. "Of course, I wasn't expecting someone like yourself to turn on her own kind like that." She could take the statement however she liked. He could smell the blood, but a vampire hardly needed to worry about being bitten; after all, it was how they were created. So long as she fed within a couple of days, she wouldn't end up like the male on the floor in front of her.

"Your kind," he began in response, regarding her almost stoically, but with a veiled irritation, "usually don't enjoy watching one another die, unless there's bad blood between you." He paused. "If you'll pardon the pun..."
He stepped back towards the wall, angling his body to allow her to leave if she really chose to go. "I'm not stopping you," he told her simply, shrugging his broad shoulders. "There's nothing keeping you here, and I'm certainly not about to object to one less vampire hunting through the crowds for the night." He was referring to the dead male, of course; she didn't seem interested in feeding on the humans inside the club...
