Name: Calista Nyx.
Nicknames: Discouraged.
Race: Werewolf - pureborn.
Occupation: Pack member; Rayne’s pack.
Gender: Female.
Skin Color: Tanned Caucasian.
Nationality: Greek.
Age: 714.
Clothing: Calista isn't the most fashion forward of the pack, but she has managed not to be trapped in her Old World sense of dress. Nonetheless, she prefers dresses and long skirts over trousers -- unless she is training -- and the influence of her culture can be seen from time to time both in her choice of jewelry and the colors of her wardrobe.
Height: 5’6”
Weight: 118lbs
Tattoos: None
Piercings: One in each ear.
Jewellery: Most of her jewelry is simple, but still elegant. Diamond pendants on gold chains; small rings and bangles, even a white-gold anklet that is hardly ever removed. Only one bit of ornamentation is a bit more rustic, and that is a fang pendant on a sturdy leather chord.
Body Modifications: The small of her back and her hips are marred with lines of scars, all caused by the same set of claws.
Wolf Form [/u]
Build: Muscular, but not bulky. Obviously built more for the hunt than the fight, but Calista’s wolf form is quite powerful, capable of both bipedal and quadruped movement.
Height: 9’0” bipedal; 6'0" quadruped.
Weight: 372lbs
Hair: White-gray. It’s fairly sparse and coarse, save for around her head in a kind of mane, as well as around her calves and elbows.

Oddities: Calista’s eyes will shift or ‘flood’ to those of her wolf when she is provoked, or in a good deal of pain.
Personality: Calista has always held herself with an almost royal bearing, something that stems from her days as leader of her original pack. While she is loyal to her pack and her Alphas, there is still an air of pride about her that she cannot – or perhaps will not – banish. Perhaps this is why she seems to be drawn to the ‘pack within the pack,’ or at least, she is much more open with this smaller group. Or as open as she can be; she does feel more comfortable with those leaders than with the pack’s official Alphas
‘Ice Queen’ was the name that was whispered behind her back, and she still hears it from time to time. Indeed, she can be cold and almost callous at times, but unless provoked, she is never cruel. Calista is merely in control of herself and her emotions; it is something she prides herself on. An outright laugh from the female is a rare thing indeed, but she can be pleasant and kind to the younger members of the pack, thanks to some odd, maternal habit she picked up during her time as a leader. Her smiles are not so infrequent, but they hardly ever reach her eyes, being more of an automatic gesture than anything else. The one male whom she considers a friend has actually coaxed a true smile from her, which she finds puzzling, but she does not question it.
Weaknesses: Silver, like all werewolves. Prolonged exposure to the metal can make her ill, or even kill her, depending on the situation. Calista’s prideful manner has kept her distant from most of the pack, but she doesn’t particularly mind it. Her cool exterior masks a fiery temper that can flare to life if she is pushed and burn hot for hours, which can definitely cause problems.
Abilities: There are, of course, the standard werewolf abilities: enhanced speed and strength; heightened senses, superhuman healing factor, speed, agility, and pain tolerance. Her agility is especially honed, allowing her to move quickly and gracefully, should she need to, and it most certainly inhances her fighting skills. Calista is not and out-and-out fighter, but she was taught to defend herself and can move with deadly grace and speed in combat. She has enough rhythm to be an alluring dancer, though she has had no formal training. Fully fluent in Greek (her first language) and English.
Weapons: A pair of sai etched with Greek runes.
Prized Possessions: While she hardly ever wears the fang necklace, it is her single-most valuable possession, as it belonged to her late father.
Home(s): Four Seasons with the rest of the pack.
History: When her mother died in childbirth, Calista’s father, Bastiaan was heartbroken. But the Alpha male had a pack to head and a child to raise, so while he still grieved for his lost love, he did his duties to their fullest. The pack’s mansion on the coast of Greece was the perfect place for Calista to grow up strong and proud. Her father was an old wolf, a warrior who had seen many a battle fought, and he believed firmly in unity and strength within an army, or a pack. There were some ambitious members of the pack, like Beta Leander, but no one dared challenge the bold Bastiaan. Even without a mate, he was a strong leader, and Calista was sure that her father was invincible.
But when a mission ended in disaster, Calista soon discovered that even werewolves could fall victim to mortality. Her father returned from battle on his shield and was given a fine funeral, for he had sacrificed his life for the good of the pack. There were others who would have surged forward to take control, but Calista, now well into her 300s, held fast to the position of Alpha, confident in her abilities. For nearly two centuries, she was a strong, solitary leader who could be both kind and imposing, even in the face of those who doubted her ability to lead.
It was then that the Beta Leander decided he would make his move. The coward killed his mate and framed another of the pack for it before he honed in on Calista. When he attacked, it was a backhanded assault, and the Alpha female was helpless to stop it. Forced into submission, she was essentially stripped of her title as Alpha and Leander took over, his tyranny and power-mad demeanor driving many a pack member away. But Calista, still with her strong sense of duty to the pack, couldn’t leave. None of the wolves that she had counted as friends bothered to raise a finger against Leander.
The usurper was a heartless leader and a heartless lover; no regard for his ‘mate’ or for those that he was supposed to protect. Calista’s pride refused to let her bend completely to his will, which he did not appreciate, and she still bears scares that are testament to Leander’s brutal form of leadership. He used her as he saw fit, without her consent, for she was little more than a vessel to him – a kind of living trophy. He thought her broken, but Calista proved him wrong when, as he was forcing himself upon her yet again, she drew a small, silver dagger and stabbed him in the neck.
She left Leander to drown in his own blood and finally broke away from the pack. Life as a rogue was not entirely disagreeable, but Calista was a pack wolf bred and born, and a leader, too. When she encountered Rayne’s pack, she knew that she had to satisfy herself with being a simple pack member, and for the most part she is happy with this, thanks in part to the ‘pack within the pack.’ She trusts Neal, Isabella, Mateo, and Gabriel far more than the official leaders (although she would never say so aloud) and it even seems that Gabriel has managed to coax her from her icy shell. Yes, she is still loyal to both Rayne and Dante, but the pack within the pack has a better hold of her trust.
