Kennedy laughed. “Well, I can’t argue with the fact that there are more variations of coffee than any other drink in the world… well, I think so anyway. Mocha, espresso, cappuccino, black, iced, Frappuccino… eh, I’ve missed some, but there you go. Guess that proves the point, huh?” She shrugged. “Maybe that’s why I don’t drink it… though I will admit to the occasional iced mocha… something-or-other. I forget what it’s called, but you get ‘em in Starbucks.” She grinned, cocking her head. “But you can get everything in Starbucks.”
Stop rambling at him. He’s older than you; he knows how it works.
“Spar?” She saw the red glow, and reciprocated as her eyes flickered yellow, reacting mischievously. “Oh, you know me, Dimi’… I’d love to spar.” Her wolf bucked and practically bounced within her, energised by the promise of some activity.

Dimitri chuckled slightly as the young wolf rambled on. This was probably the main reasons he liked being around her. She rambled, but rambled honestly. She said what was on her mind. Which was slightly annoying, but nice at the same time. Then he wouldn't have to wonder just what she was thinking.
Dimitri offered a lop-sided grin when he saw her eyes flicker yellow. "I must warn you..." He said, once again tapping into his thick Czech accent. For some reason, the wolf never lost it. He was mindfully gratiful he still had the accent. It made people listen...somewhat. "...I'm not very good at hand-to-hand combat. So go easy on me." Dimitri grinned, knowing far well that it wasn't that much of a lie. He prefered shooting rather then hand-to-hand, but could hold his own in a fight.
His wolf, which was usually just pacing slightly or laying just under the radar, came alive with the promise of a good spar.

She had always had a habit of being honest; maybe too honest, but at least no one had ever accused her of being untruthful or deceitful in any way. How could they, when she was always open about her opinion? She’d been raised to appreciate truth and to share it whenever she had an opportunity… so long as the other party didn’t mind.
“Oh, I’ll try my best,” she promised him with a light laugh, nodding her head as she reached into her pocket, pulling out a hair tie. She was moving away from the wall as she reached up to roughly but practically put the dark lengths into a simple ponytail that would keep it out of her face while they sparred. “You know I’d never kick your ass that badly, Dimi’… I wouldn’t want to embarrass you.” Of course, she meant she would want to accidentally hurt him, but the wolf was awake, and mischievous, and it was her way of showing her enthusiasm.
Stepping into the middle of the sparring mat, she bounced lightly on the balls of her feet, glad she had put on her worn sneakers before she’d left her room. In a real battle, she would have worn her toe-capped boots, but this was Dimitri, and only for some good fun, and practise.

Dimitri sighed heavily, rolling his shoulders and cracking his neck slowly. "That badly? I wouldn't want to lose to you if it means losing some sort of pride." The sniper quirped with a lopsided grin on his face.
He didn't have to pull back his hair. He didn't really care if his hair got in the way. He balled up his fists loosely. His wolf bounced around slightly. Usually he would allow his wolf to take over completely. Usually. But he didn't feel the need to at the moment. The spar was only for fun...and his wolf had a tendency to get out of hand when in the heat of the moment.
Dimitri kicked off his shoes and grinned over to the dark haired wolf. His eyes flashing a dim feral red, his wolf feeling more energtized then ever. This would be extremely entertaining.

She laughed again. “Well, I wouldn’t worry about attracting an audience. I smell chocolate.” She beamed. “If I didn’t know better, I’d guess Heidi’s on a baking spree again. People will be flocking to the kitchen; your pride will remain intact.” The smile became a devious grin. “Well, mostly.”
On Dimitri’s prompt, Kennedy removed her sneakers as well, to make it fair. It was only considerate. She was always in favour of keeping things fair if she could, unless it came to a genuine enemy, and they had a chance to turn the tables and tip the odds; in those situations, she was all for having the upper hand. She rolled her own shoulders, feeling them loosen up readily, and rolled her neck. “Okay… here goes nothin’…”
With that, the two fighter wolves started to circle one another on the mat, Kennedy’s movements light and graceful; prepared and subtly tense and wary, her eyes never leaving Dimitri as she studied his movements.

Dimitri narrowed his eyes, smiling slightly before fading into his poker face. The Czech didn't givie any sort of traces to how he was going to move. He was used to sleath...used to observing.
Dimitri had the habit of waiting for the other person to make a move. His wolf hopped back and forth, snarling and baring its teeth playfully. Waiting to break Dimitri's odd habit and attack first. Dimi' decided to listen to his instincts, moving swiftly forward and swinging his arm.

The younger, female fighter was ready, and her agility kicked in automatically, causing her to duck and practically flip backwards, out of his range, before she was darting to the side, and swinging a light but forceful kick just to his right, towards his back; it would be enough to knock him off-balance, but it wouldn’t hurt him. Kennedy had enough control to only land lightly bruising, perhaps winding blows, when it came to sparring.
Her wolf was alert and hyperactive within her, howling gleefully at the activity, and she practically grinned as she moved, energised by the promise of a good workout with a close friend in the pack; not that she viewed anyone in the pack as anything other than a close friend, but that wasn’t the point. She had her favourites, and the Czech was a good sport — she liked that about him.

Damn... Dimitri thought bitterly to himself as his sparring partner kicked him on the right, knocking him slightly off balance before he got his barings again and hopped out of the way from any other attack. For now, at least. His wolf growled playfully, loving what ever Kennedy threw at him and waiting to return the favor.
Over six hundred odd years, the wolf learned a bit about control. Watch the opponent until they made their move. Dimitri threw that all away at the moment, just wanting to have some good old fashioned fun. He wasn't one for flips or anything along those lines. The fighter moved forward before circling around the other fighter, kicking her in the leg lightly. Enough to allow her to get the message that he wasn't letting age get in the way before hopping backwards.
It was one of the rare occurences that Dimi' actually grinned enough to make his face hurt. Normally he would be shooting the hell out of targets or making a silent conversion with Kate while they sat in the library. He enjoyed any sort of the occasional spars between Kennedy. Even though they usually ended in draws.

“Oooh, that was a bit spiteful,” Kennedy said with a playful growl and a smirk. It hadn’t hurt, but she had wobbled a bit, definitely, and though she was smiling, her wolf had given a little yip of annoyance at the waver of balance. They circled one another, before she decided the time was right, and surged at Dimitri, forcing him to go on the defensive as she descended into a swift, ongoing sequence of blows and swings; some of them were feints to distract while she landed other hits, but others were basic, and self-explanatory.
Dimitri wasn’t a poor fighter in any sense of the word, so less than half of Kennedy’s hits landed. She didn’t mind, but it did give her the determination to keep going, just waiting for the swing that he would aim at her in retaliation, in order to force her back so he could return the favour. Her legs were braced, ready to spring her back and over if he tried to hit her; she was prepared.

Dimitri grinned, just as his wolf as doing at the back of his mind. Grinning gleefully, he shook off whatever hits she landed. His wolf kept his mind on the woman's movements. Keeping his eyes on whatever she did. He howled happily as Dimitri found his way out of Kennedy's range before ducking to the ground and swooping his leg under her, knocking her off her feet.
He knew that it wouldn't be to long for the fighter to regain her senses, but it was enough to confuse her for a while. Dimitri shot up to his feet, offering Kennedy a smile before hopping back on the balls of his feet.

Dimitri was right. It didn’t take her long to get back to her feet, fully alert again; when she’d gone down, she’d rolled on reflex, and sprang back up in a matter of seconds, shaking it off as if he hadn’t even landed a hit. But her wolf wanted its vengeance, and wouldn’t be satisfied until the favour had been returned. She weighed her options, and waited for him to come at her again, a course of action already in her mind.
When he moved towards her, she ducked and weaved, grabbing him with both hands in a certain way; using his body weight against him, along with his forward momentum, she successfully flipped him over, and off his feet, to land on his back on the mat. Grinning triumphantly, if only briefly, she bounced back to wait for his recovery.

Dimitri groaned, muttering something in Czech as he rolled off to the side and got to his feet. He knew the action was purely an act of revenge. Dimitri hopped back, some thin wisps of his hair going into his face creating a somewhat maddening look. "Knock that grin right off her face," he muttered softly.
Dimitri knew Kennedy would hear it. He knew the grin wouldn't go away but most likely widen. Dimitri's wolf paced angrily in the back of his mind as he rolled his head and leapt towards her.

The grin did indeed widen, and she even laughed to herself as Dimitri lunged at her. His wolf was starting to affect his judgement, and she could use that against him, keeping herself as much in harmony with her own inner animal as possible, in order to benefit from it, rather than bicker with it.
When he got close enough, instead of dodging, Kennedy reached out, grabbed his shirtfront, and then rocked right back. Her knees buckled gracefully under her, and they went down, Dimitri’s momentum carrying them right down and over, as the female bucked her hips to facilitate the motion. Within moments, she had flipped them over, and pinned him down with a wide smirk as she looked him in the eyes, her bangs hanging down out of her ponytail.

The aged fighter glared up at Kennedy's grinning face, his eyes glowing a dim red. He returned her grin with one of his own. A playful growl erupting from his chest. He tilted his head to the side before bucking the female off of him and pulling his feet under him to hop up.
Dimitri was always pleased when sparring with Kennedy. The rather spry fighter always kept him on his feet. Dimitri decided to plan out his next plan of attack with his wolf. They had spent all their lives together so they shouldn't be harmonic. And it was rather embarrassing that Kennedy was besting him. At least to the wolf it was embarrassing.
Dimitri knew he bested her in guns. Which was his only measure of confidence. Dimitri's eyes reddened once again before hopping over Kennedy and settling back on the mat, holding his fists up.

Righting herself with ease after he bucked her off, Kennedy was quickly back on her feet, and ready to dodge and weave. Dimitri had no reason to feel bad about him besting her, in her opinion; his strength was marksmanship, and hers was hand-to-hand. Oh, she could definitely hold her own with the best of them when it came to firearms, but that was Dimitri’s place in the pack. He was the sniper, and it just made sense that he was one of the better fighters when it came to guns.
When he hopped over her, she ducked and crouched automatically, in case he tried to strike her on the way over, and when he landed on the other side, she was already swinging around and out with one leg extended, knocking him off his feet cleanly, using his renewed balance against him; ready for a torso strike though he may have been, she’d taken advantage of his landing and used it to trip him up.
