Marco had smelt her coming. Even with the masses of bodies and therefore, the mingling of several different scents, he had been able to pick out the approach of one vampiric. He calmed himself before she even took a seat, putting down the glass he'd just wiped dry when he realised the other bartenders were with other patrons, and therefore, it was up to him to serve the woman.
Her staring was slightly... odd, to say the least, and for just a moment, he considered ignoring her, but when she finally summoned her voice, he approached, waited for his brain to register the request, and then 'regretfully' shook his head. "Afraid I'm not familiar with it. Anything you can see behind the bar, I can get... or I can mix you up something... less exotic." His own voice held his still-present accent; even after so many years iving in America, his accent was still present. He quirked a brow, and offered a faint smile at best; he'd never really gotten on well with vampires, and he assumed she could smell his lycanthropic nature from where she sat.
But... it wasn't in his job description to be a jerk to any vampire who visited the bar; if he'd been on the door, it might have been a different matter...

Backstage, Billie bounced nervously on the balls of her stiletto-clad feet, microphone in hand as she waited for her cue. It wasn't that she was nervous, per say, but those butterflies in the stomach always came calling just before she stepped out, no matter what. She wanted to do well, make the customers happy, get through unscathed and...and, well, Bruce was gesturing frantically for her to get moving, so she did.
"Evenin', everyone!" Nerves forgotten, the singer stepped into the pool of spotlight onstage and greeted the house cheerfully, "Hope y'all are enjoying yourselves."
A light smattering of applause and a couple of hoots made Billie laugh before she continued, "Well then, if y'all don't mind, I'll be entertainin' you for a bit." A glance to her pianist, who nodded, prompting her to go on. "I'll start out with a nice little song called, 'How High The Moon.'"
The bouncing, jazzy intro kicked in and Billie moved lightly with the beat, feeling energized and confident as she began to sing to the audience before her...

"Black Russian is one drink I can do well," he said to her, allowing a smile and knowing she would probably be able to interpret his accent and get the 'joke'.
He was preparing the drink when Billie came out on stage, and he looked towards the human singer, smiling approvingly. Finishing filling the glass, he set it down in front of the vampire, and telling her the price. "Unless you want to start a tab." He shrugged his broad shoulders, glancing to the energetic singer before looking back to the pale woman.

Billie was in her element, and her confidence was more than obvious to all those in the club. The music flowed easily through her and she sang with everything she had, as was her way; she wouldn't be able to speak in the morning, but right now, it was worth it.
Eventually, she swaggered her way down from the stage to mingle in the house, one of the follow spots lighting her and whomsoever she chose to socialize/flirt with. It was sometimes difficult not to laugh at the various reactions that her attentions garnered, but Billie managed to keep from totally losing composure. Management didn't always like it when she did this, but they could deal with it; she was, after all, here to entertain, wasn't she?

The bar had quieted while the patrons enjoyed the entertainment that Billie provided, and as such, Marco and the two other bartenders were taking advantage, and using the free time to relax behind the bar itself. Marco, for his part, leaned down on the cleaned surface to listen to the song, occasionally watching the dance floor. Shellie and Tanya, the other tenders, stood on either side of him, listening to the music.
Someone came to order a drink, and Shellie moved off to take care of it, even as Marco saw the vampire he'd served leading another individual towards the back door. His eyes narrowed. Was she entertaining the thought of feeding...?
You've got to be kidding me, he thought to himself, glancing to Tanya. "I'm going to take a breather outside for five minutes." She nodded, quickly turning her attention back to the stage, and with that, the large werewolf stepped out from behind the bar and followed the vampire.

Locking the club’s back door behind him, he managed to get hold of one of the staff as they were passing the dance floor, asking them to pass on a message that there was a rather… large mess outside the door, hence it being locked. In the event of an emergency, they were to use other routes, but nothing of that magnitude had ever happened at the club, and he doubted it would be needed. They didn’t argue with him — few people did, given his height — and he was soon headed back to the bar.
As he went, he collected empty glasses, flashing Billie a smile from the floor as she entertained the crowd from the stage.
“Feel better?” Tanya asked him as he slipped back behind the bar, getting to work on putting the glasses in to wash.
Nodding his head, he replied calmly, “Much.”

Her stride held an easy confidence as she stepped onto the small stage and into the pool of light created by one of the spots that hung above. The whistles and cheers from the crowd proved that they would be a lively bunch tonight, and that gave Billie a definite rush; the more responsive the crowd, the better her performance. So long as the 'crazies' didn't decide to act up. She hadn't seen Marco yet tonight, but there was always one week ever month when her big Croatian buddy went MIA, so she would have to rely on the other security boys stationed about the club.
Note to self: call Marco after shift. And get to work. A dazzling smile lit up the singer's face and she greeted the club's patrons, chatting amiably before she introduced her first song and began to sing with a practiced, confident ease.

Lynnette had smiled in an acknowledging manner to the men working the door, and slipped in when Nick had opened it for her. As soon as they were inside, the atmosphere hit them both like a powerful wave, and the female werewolf's face broke into a grin. "Oh, now this is more like it."
On the stage, a human singer was belting out an energetic tune, which pumped through the body of the club loudly. The bodies on the dance floor were moving around enthusiastically, and people sat drinking at tables surrounding the circular space; the raised level they stood on now housed more tables, and towards the edge of the room, booths for drinking away from the masses. The bar was down on the ground level, on the other side of the round dance floor, and the tenders tossed shakers, bottles and glasses to each other with practised, mind-blowing ease. They definitely seemed to be enjoying their jobs anyway. Lights swung and flared around the huge room, illuminating faces of humans, wolves and vampires alike. From where she stood, Lyn could detect the distinct scents of all three species.
Still grinning, she turned her head to her companion. "Your judgement wins out again, Nick," she told him, easily heard over the music and singing, no doubt. Her eyes were lit up eagerly; this place looked like a blast.

“Of course it does,” Nick replied, shooting her a grin. “The Onyx is the place to be around here.” The incident that had occurred the last time he had come to the club was forgotten as Nick allowed himself to get caught up in the energetic atmosphere. There were people everywhere, some more human than others, and the crowd alone helped to raised his good mood up a couple of more notches. “So, a drink first, or dancing?” Either was fine by him.

"Hmm..."
Lyn appeared to think this question through, before something occured to her. Turning her brown eyes on her companion, she lifted one brow delicately, intrigued. "So, are you telling me that you dance too?"
If he did, it was quite possible he was one of the most impressive men - or werewolves, technically - she had met in a long time. The question was, if he could, would he admit to it? After all, a fair few men could dance, but refused to admit to it, as if it was something to be embarrassed about.
Little did they know, women usually liked a man who could dance.

Nick raised an eyebrow and lowered his voice to make sure none of the nearby humans would over hear. “What, you think you get to be my age without picking up a few things? I’ve been known to hit the dance floor, though no one has ever told me if I’m any good or if I’m just trying to fool myself. If you’re willing to take the risk, we’ll find out which one it is right now.”
Nick personally liked to dance and dared anyone to say anything about it. If he wasn’t as good as he thought he was, then Lynnette was likely to let him know and this would be his last trip to the dance floor. After all, he wasn’t one to purposely embarrass himself. If he managed to not step on her feet and didn’t send her running to hide, then he’d assume that he was at least decent.

At the volume of this music, and the human's singing, Lyn doubted Nick would have to worry about being overheard. In fact, he'd probably have to bellow when he ordered drinks. The female werewolf thought she might stand beside him for entertainment when he did that...
"Hmm... well, I have to say, I'm intrigued." She quirked a brow at him again, smirking lightly. "You're full of surprises, and up until now, they've all been good surprises, so... I want to see if that pattern continues." She made to move for the dance floor. "And don't worry, I'll be honest with you. I've been a professional dancer on and off for a while now, so I can be a bit brutal with my opinions." She flashed him a mischievous grin, and headed for the floor.

“Oh, well that’s great. Just my luck. I take a professional out dancing.” He said it with a grin as he followed her to the dance floor. “Just try not to hurt my delicate, delicate feelings. They get bruised easily.” Okay, that wasn’t exactly the truth. He couldn’t actually remember the last time his feelings had gotten hurt. His ego had been bruised, but that was a completely different story. He would let her choose their spot for dancing, though there seemed to be very few choices at the moment. Nick wrinkled his nose as they passed a woman with too much perfume and managed not to sneeze.

Lyn flashed a grin at Nick over her shoulder as she ignored the strong scents of cologne, lust and perfume, as well as the heavy taint of drugs and alcohol... with even the faintest hints of blood in the air. She filtered through it, to try and push out what she did and didn't want to smell. She succeeded... to a degree.
"I'll try to go easy on you then," she teased as she found them a space on the floor, turning to him, and smirking playfully. The song the human sang up on the stage was energetic, and allowed for a lot of movement, as Lyn cocked her head almost as a cue to Nick. She wanted to see what he could do...

“Oh, of course. Let me go first.” He gave a slight grin and started to move to the music, finding his rhythm fairly quickly. He really hated these faster songs; he had never been any good with the more upbeat songs. He really felt like an idiot and shook his head. “I told you I’m not that good. These fast songs kick my butt. They’ve never been my strong point. My expertise is food and reporting. Dancing isn’t in the top ten.” As much as he wished he was- and as much as he liked to act as if he was at times- he was far from perfect. Not that that was necessarily a bad thing; things would be too boring if he was really perfect. Still, he filed away the mental note to improve his ability to dance to faster songs. "Maybe I should try talking you into giving me some lessons."
