His laugh was really more of a growl. Lucian tightened his grip on his mate, happy to let her do what she pleased with him. "Whatever you wish, 'Ryn," he murmured and let his eyes slip closed; content. "I'll find you a sweet, young creature to take down. Something fiery. Would you like that?"
Farryn was right -- the kill was pointless if you couldn't take down your prey. Fear flavoured the blood, in Lucian's opinion, made things so much more fun.

Continued from: Hallways with Ryan
There was really only one person who Erik would never even entrain the thought of hurting and that was his Alpha, Lucian. Everyone else in the pack had been subject to the odd daydream, Erik passing the time between torture by imagining how he would first subdue the other members of the pack and then the different forms of torture he would use on them. Ryan, he had long ago decided would be subject to goriest parodies of pain and death seen in Anime – Erik rather liked the irony he saw in that.
It didn’t matter that he had no intention of following through on those thoughts – he had come dangerously close in the past and would no doubt do so again the future – they were there and a part of him.
He occupied his mind with thoughts of the promised sausage, trying his best to distract himself from images of how Ryan would look in pain, or the sound of his screams. Upon entering the kitchen the young wolf’s eyes lit up ever so subtly at the sight of Lucian. Erik tipped his head at both Alpha’s in respect, catching the tail end of the conversation. Personally, he hoped they brought him back someone to play with – he hadn’t played for so long.
Erik knew better than to ask, and certainly not while Lucian was distracted by Farryn. He glanced to the side, to Ryan, silently asking where the sausage was.

The scents of his pack distracted the Alpha from his mate briefly; he looked toward the doorway, nodded to Vash and Ryan when they appeared. Vash in particular caught Lucian's interest. The rather disturbed young wolf was undoubtedly one of his favorites within the pack, next to Jesse, so he granted Vash the barest hint of a smile, and kissed Farryn lightly before he turned in her embrace. Although he wanted some time to hunt with his mate, he was rather curious to know how Vash was doing; was he ready to leave the manor during the moon?
"Erik," he spoke, tone sharp not unkind. "How are you handling the moon this month?"

Erik saw the smile, as faint as it was and returned it – smile wider than Lucian’s, but with only the same amount of emotion as his Alpha’s. To have Lucian talk to him was an honour, for him to bestow any kind of praise or pleased reaction – such as the smile – was beyond an honour.
“Close,” he replied, voice calm as always. In all honestly, Erik had expected to have retained control of his wolf during the moon by his age; during his travels he had come across wolves around his age who could handle the transformation, and yet try as he might he eventually succumbed to the pull of his beast. All he could suppose, when he thought about it at all, was that it had something to do with his time as a vampire’s pet – control over the beast had not been a priority then. The idea that he simply wasn’t strong enough or that every one gained control at different ages just didn’t occur to him.
Every night however, he was getting closer and closer, wolf apparently learning to listen to him after all these years. The beast wanted carnage as much as he did. “I held on for longer than I ever have before last night.”

"Good, good," Lucian murmured, nodding as he contemplated. He had witnessed Erik's determination in the past year or so, how he came closer and closer to having his wolf under full control. It was a difficult process, and considering what he had been through before he came to the pack, he was doing well.
"Vash deserves a treat," he said to Farryn after a brief silence. His smile was slow and fanged as he craned his neck to peer at her. "Don't you think so, luv?"

Farryn was quite happy to entertain herself by playing with Lucian's hair absently as he exchanged words with Erik, she looked towards the doorway with a dark expression and her smiling mouth that might have softened the expression was hidden as she leant her jaw against her mate.
She blinked at Ryan first and then Erik himself as her mate spoke, "Mm, I think so." She murmured, raising an eyebrow and lifting her head slightly. She too was rather fond of Erik, though quietly so, she thought him an artist when it came to pain with a finesse that she would never possess her self; Farryn was more into the brutish, wrecking ball style of inflicting agony and inciting fear. Though she was unlikely to say it out loud, she thought his talents very impressive.
"Maybe there's room in our excursion to pick up something for him," she said, dragging her eyes from Luc to Erik once more.

Lucian's smile was sharp, literally; his wolf's fangs caught the overhead light and glinted briefly. "Then it's settled," he rumbled. "Make sure your tools are ready for tonight, Vash. We'll see what we can find you."
He tilted his head, a silent invitation for his mate to continue brushing her strong fingers through his hair. The attention brought a lazy, contented smile to the Alpha's face as he continued, "What shall we look for, Erik? There's no shortage of fresh, young things in this city, and they do tend to be quite fun. What kind of treat shall we bring back?"

At least they are not using him as a treat for Erik. He knew for certain that if his alphas had given the older wolf permission to 'have fun' with him the shorter wolf wouldn't think twice. But then again...he doubted that was stopping him anyway. The thought of pain always made his wolf shudder unknowingly. Instead of engaging in the conversation, he moved around the kitchen preparing breakfast and pulling out a package of blood sausage and eggs.
His ear lightly twitched as his wolf entertained the thought of humans being around. He wasn't someone who torture and maim. But his wolf always hungered for something more then peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

Erik’s expression brightened instantly at being offered such a treat from his Alphas, the normal blank facial features becoming almost boyish, pure, undiluted joy and excitement on them. But from that came the question – what sort of treat did he want. There was so much choice and for a few moments he was honestly stuck, mind feverishly running over all the different options.
Vampire, werewolf, human… male, female, age… Erik licked his lips, mentally imagining all the responses he could get from a brand new toy and all the different brands to choose from.
“I’ve not had a human in a long time,” he admitted at last, voice showing the normally masked emotions he felt. “A fierily female perhaps? They do make such nice noises after all.” The women tended to be more vocal about the pain than their counterparts, the males trying to be noble and keep it in – such a bore. Erik looked at Lucian and Farryn, hoping that they would approve with his idea – if not, then he would simply chose again until they did.

Continued from The Training Room
Jesse entered the kitchen softly, taking in the people in the room in a moment. None to worry over, though occasionally he wondered what crossed Erik's mind when he caught the eye. People let him do his job, and while he wasn't certain if he enjoyed his rank due to Lucian, his own skill or a mixture of both - he didn't really care. As it was, he didn't step on anyone else's paws in the pack. Farryn's presence was not a surprise. He met her eyes briefly, then dropped them firmly once, in recognition. When Lucian looked to him, his hand closed in a fist, briefly raising the hand to his opposite shoulder in a sign of subtle fealty. It was his constant greeting to Lucian, nearly involuntary now.
Going straight to the fridge, he took out one of the water bottles and drank deeply, moving to a corner of the kitchen so as not to get in anyone's way. The conversation he'd heard on the way in sounded as though plans were being made. If he was included, Lucian would tell him. His fingers found his lighter and he closed his other hand around it as he stood.

Jesse's entrance pulled the Alpha's attention away from Erik for a brief moment. Lucian's smile toward the fighter was subtle, barely a twitch of the mouth, but that was all Jesse ever needed. He had nothing but pride for the older fighter, despite their age difference; Lucian knew the other male would never challenge him. Having one such as Jesse at his side was quite the honor.
"Well, Erik," he began, looking back to Vash. "We'll see what we can find tonight. Shouldn't be too hard to scrounge up."

The appearance of another fighter – and such a fighter at that, Jesse was everything a fighter for the pack should be. He was strong, loyal and fully able; still, Erik sometimes enjoyed passing fancies of what he would do to the elder fighter should he ever be allowed such a treat or if he came across him at a disadvantage – Erik wouldn’t think twice about turning on a fellow pack member in such a situation, not if the urge for torture was there and the only thing stopping him now was Lucian and the unpleasant knowledge that he was no real match for the other fighter. At the moment anyway.
“Thank you Lucian,” Erik replied simply, the emotionless mask falling back into place, excitement fading away, the effort of sustaining it too much this early in the morning. He would have to make sure all his weapons and devices were cleaned, polished and sharpened.

Farryn made a tiny gesture of her head of acknowledgement to Jesse as he entered and then turned her eyes back to Erik once more and smiled darkly as his emotionless expression fell back into place, "On that point we're agreed," she mumbled, fingers moving free of conscious though down from Lucian's hair and across his shoulders as she spoke, "feisty females are very satisfying. I'll keep my eyes wide open for something special..."
After a moment she finally slipped away from her mate and retrieved her plate of bacon, her stomach was threatening to rumble loud enough to shake the foundations if she didn't satisfy it.

"Don't mention it, Vash."
Reaching back, he stole a few pieces of bacon from his mate's plate and kissed her into silence when she gave him a playful snarl. He pulled away with a smirk and wolfed down a few pieces of the fried stuff, feeling his wolf give a contented rumble at the greasy goodness. Thank god for werewolf metabolism; they'd all be in serious trouble, otherwise.
"Maybe we'll bring back more than one," he mused after swallowing. "Some of the others might enjoy it...I know Ramski's been restless as fuck, and he's annoying when he's antsy."

Ryan...was just going to let the psychos be...psycho-y. He was comfortable in his corner of not getting murdered. That and he still had to finish cooking. He snagged the eggs from the fridge, moving around the ones who were conversing as he worked. He wasn't that great of a fighter. But as a cook? He was excellent. It was something he had a fair amount of time to work on.
He flipped the sausage, focusing mainly on the food and tuning everyone else out. Well, not entirely. If he did that...it could end up dangerous. He shouldn't tune them out completely.
