Continued from: The Kitchen
Nicole was already in the TV room when he entered, blond wolf sitting on one of the couches, feet tucked up under her. She had her eyes closed, a ridiculous expression on her face as she bopped along to whatever music was currently steaming out of the large headphones on his head. Erik slowly walked in front of her, eyes blank and face expressionless. He waited until she had lifted her head to meet his eyes before speaking; “I’m using the TV now.”
The male didn’t wait to see if she would leave or wait for an answer before turning away and heading toward his disks. Dimly, he was aware of Nicole standing and leaving the room but she had been categorised as a non-threat and so barely registered in Erik’s mind.
He settled himself in front of his anime collection; finger’s running along the spines of the DVD’s. There was nothing new and pressing he had to watch – which reminded Erik, it was more than time for him to get something new. There was always new TV series and films coming out or sometimes his favourites were repacked in a new format. They were always better in Japanese but when it came to the ones that he truly loved, Erik sometimes couldn’t help but buy more than one copy so he could enjoy them in all the forms they took. His fingers closed around the familiar box that held Trigun.
After a night of the moon and worse the most compelling night of the full moon, Erik didn’t want to do anything other than indulge in his most favourite of anime.

He smiled, an actual expression of real emotion, not the blank, absent smile that was normally present whenever he made an effort to give a smile for whatever reason. Normally Erik didn’t bother with real feelings, spooning out his emotions bit by bit, each time carefully measured and counted for future reference. When it came to the antics of the characters in his ani me however, he was a lot less guarded about his feelings. Somehow, it was okay to waste energy and expressions and Erik didn’t bother to question himself as to why it was so.
Erik hit the volume button on the remote, turning the sound up slightly and settling even deeper into the story. He let the sounds of the Japanese speakers wash over him, enjoying the beauty of watching his show in its native language. It would be so easy for him simply to get lost in it, to watch until he ran out of episodes, as he had done on more than one occasion.
The young werewolf only hoped that nobody would come in and disturb him. He was fine with people like Ryan or of course his Alpha Lucian, but if someone such as Lucy or that dratted Martin – it would spoil his fragile good mood.

Continued from; Lucy's Room. Farryn had been in the hallway downstairs, so she couldn't get to the kitchen. Instinctively Lucy had ducked through the nearest doorway and peere out into the winding corridor to make sure that she had been spotted, or scented, as if it even mattered anymore. The alpha female was apparently too preoccupied to take any notice of the blonde though, it seems she was safe for now. She'd just have to stay put and waint until-
As she turned around to face the room at large and spotted Erik sitting down, watching TV, her heart skipped a beat and she swallowed, trying to dislodge a nervous lump in the back of her throat. Suddenly she couldn;t even move, her feet felt rooted to the spot and she stared at him. There was no way he hadn't noticed her, but still she didn't dare speak to bring attention to herself, she wished painfully that she could just blend into the wall, or that the ground would open up and swallow her at least.

Erik heard the door open and close, and taking in a deeper breath a moment later told him the identity of the intruder in his fortress of solitude; Lucy. One of the few he hadn’t wanted to see, someone who didn’t understand the delight of anime. He remained watching the on-screen antics of Vash without turning away from it, listening as he breath caught in her throat and then she swallowed loudly before tilting his head to look in her directon.
The good mood that threatened to vanish at the appearance of Lucy was content with the due fear and respect the female she-wolf was showing him. If the girl had dismissed him or made some wise crack comment as Tyler no doubt would, then he would have felt the rare happiness slip back under the ice of indifference. As it was, he was feeling an almost benign feeling towards her, as though she wasn’t someone he actively tried to torment.
“Lucy. The door is hardly a place to watch TV from,” he said at last, tone making it clear that since she was in the lounge, he expected her to have come in with the purpose of watching shows – his shows of course.

"I...uh," Lucy cast about for something to say, anything that would allow her to remain where she was and not have to move further into the room. Her hands were shaking slightly and she clasped them together in front of her, her shoulders hunching in protectively and giving her tight, small appearance of a scolded child as she blinked wide, whiskey eyes at Erik.
TV wasn't on her list of things to do, she just wanted to hide out in the room until Farryn had gone upstairs or wherever so that she could sneak into the kitchen and then carry some food off back to her room. The blonde cursed herself for not having checked that the TV lounge was empty, ducking into an unoccupied room would have solved all these problem. Would Erik tell Farryn he'd seen here up and about? No. Maybe not. He seemed too invested in his shows around this time of the month... besides if Farryn really wanted to find Lucy she'd just do it, there was nothing anyone could - or in many cases would- do.
"I don't want to disturb you." she managed at last in a weak voice, remaining where she stood.

“You’re disturbing me right now,” Erik pointed out, voice deceptively calm as always. It was near impossible to tell what he was thinking or feeling as he sat there, watching her and the way she appeared to resemble a deer in the headlights. Erik liked to think that he had the power to cause such a reaction alone but he wasn’t completely deluded enough to think that. Farryn was greatly responsible for Lucy’s current state of mind, something Erik respected. It was a testament to his Alpha that she had managed to craft such a creature but he didn’t quite understand the point of keeping her when she was so clearly broken. The entertainment value was limited at best.
It wasn’t sympathy that Erik was feeling as he shook his head slightly, simply because he didn’t believe in sympathy. Lucy was pathetic in Erik’s eyes, something that should have been taken out of its misery a long time ago so that Farryn could move onto someone new to play with. She did however keep the attention focused on herself instead of the other pack mates and when Farryn was angry having that barrier was helpful.
“Get over here and watch the television. It’ll be more peaceful for the both of us.”

Lucy hesitated on the spot, visibly so. To run or not to run? Farryn was still outside and on the scale of things the Alpha was a much worse evil than Erik, though the latter creeped her the hell out. After a moment of indecision ahs shuffled to the couch and sat down nervously. Shoulders hunched and spine straight. Her cold hand folded on her knees, fingers digging into the material of her pants as she stared ahead at the screen. Of course she had no idea what was going on in whatever show Erik was watching but she was sure as hell not going to ask. The comment about how she was disturbing him already was echoing in her head.
For some reason the image of Erik cutting her tongue out to shut her up and then going right on back to his anime repeated itself through her minds eye.
The blonde wolf would not put it past him.

At least Lucy realised it was anime, even if only internally – Erik was never impressed if someone called his shows ‘cartoons’ or words to those effects. He tended to show his displeasure in some way as well, if not on the original perpetrator then on the next toy he was allowed to play with, insults against his anime one of the few things that could cause him to almost lose his cool – or as near to loosing it as Erik ever got.
It was hard to get back fully into the episode when Lucy was sitting bolt upright next to him, hands clenched tight enough to hurt and now that he watched her from the corner of his eye, apparently not even blinking. It was very strange, and Erik couldn’t understand why she was behaving the way she was when he gave her the chance to get some time away from Farryn and also enjoy the delights of Trigun. To him, he was almost being kind to the blond wolf.
“Are you going to sit like that for long?”

Lucy started physically as Erik spoke again, staring resolutely ahead, colourful images reflected in her eyes, even though she wasn't really seeing them. It was odd how recently she had begun fantasising about her own death, in a number of small, silly ways; how painful would it be to sink into the bath water and just stay under? Wolves could drown couldn't they? Wouldn't that be better than staying with this pack, if it could even be called that any more. Farryn might have taught her that escape was impossible; there was no way to steal off into the night. Nowhere to run, nowhere was far enough, therefore her thoughts turned to another kind of escape, any kind of escape. Perhaps it was the time of the month, around the peak of the moon the urge to do something drastic flared up, reared it's ugly head and the images skittered thick and fast though her mind's eye. A sick sense of satisfaction settled in her gut when she thought about robbing the mad Alpha female of the chance to kill her first...
"Sorry." She muttered without looking at Erik, blinking rapidly and willing her shoulders to at least relax a little bit. Her body didn't seem to want to obey her though, and all that she managed was a slightly shudder and a bow in her spine which she instinctively rectified, sitting up straight, tense, wary. Her brain told her to relax so as not to piss Erik off, her body ignored her, not willing to let the defences fall while she was out of the relative sanctuary of her room.
