NAME: Sheppard
NICKNAMES: The Good Sheppard. The Original. The First.
RACE: Werewolf – Born.
OCCUPATION: Alpha Male.
GENDER: Male.
SKIN COLOUR: Caucasian, rather pale all over.
AGE: Roughly 1750 years old – he doesn’t share his exact age. He looks to be in his late forties.
CLOTHING: Sheppard always wears dark clothes, so as to blend in with the darkness. Although his choices are all fairly generic, those speaking to him would be stuck with a faint sense that he was a member of some religion, possibly a priest. Personally he cares little for the actual clothes, often just leaving them when he transforms. Always neat and tidy, Sheppard prefers to wear clean cut clothes as he likes the aurora of power they give.
HEIGHT:: 5' 10"
WEIGHT: 190lbs
TATTOOS: None.
PIERCINGS: A single piercing in his left ear.
JEWELLERY: One gold stud which he wears in his left ear. He also wears a gold band which is over 600 years old around his wedding finger on his left hand, however this is not a wedding ring.
BODY MODIFICATIONS: Numerous scars dot his body, some a centimetre long, others a couple of inches. His largest scar runs down the outside of his right leg, stretching from his hip to his knee. The origin of this scar is shrouded in myth of his own creating – there are several different versions, each blaming the scar as a symbol of his ‘birth’.
WOLF FORM
[/u] [/center]
BUILD: Muscular, with increased muscle build up on his lower half of his body. Prefers bipedal movement, is capable of quadruped, for short sprints. Power in all four limbs, even though his upper limbs are thinner than his lower ones. Strong bone structure, with elongated ‘fingers’ on his paws.
HEIGHT: 8ft
WEIGHT: 270lbs
HAIR: Light grey and thick. Coarse hair overall, with a softer, bushy mane around his skull, going down the back of his neck, almost reaching his shoulders.
EYES: Silver/White.
DEFINING MARKS: Long bushy tail.
PACK[/u]
PACK: Sheppard’s – His own
POSITION: Alpha.
TERRITORY: His pack roams throughout the world, never settling in one place for any great period of time. It seems that Sheppard cares little for territory in the sense of landscape. He does have a small ‘splinter’ group of his pack which consists of two devoutly loyal wolfs and a young boy – these live in a remote part of Switzerland. Currently he and his four trusted pack mates are settled in the Church of St. Peter of the Rock Temple, in the suburbs of Los Angeles.
HAIR[/u]
LENGTH: Almost reaches his shoulders.
STYLE: Normally falls ragged and rough around his face, giving him the appearance of a beast even while in human form. If there is the need however, he will comb it back.
COLOUR: Black
u]FACIAL HAIR[/u]
LENGTH: Bushy beard that covers and reaches past his chin. He also has a moustache that is connected to the beard.
STYLE: Falls loose and thick around his face, with just a basic comb over.
EYES[/u]
COLOUR: Grey-Blue
ODDITIES: When angry or threatened, they flash silver/white, his werewolf eyes.
PERSONALITY: A sociopath, psychopath, mass murderer… all those terms would describe Sheppard’s personality. He cares for little else besides his own agenda, which is furthering the purity of the werewolf race. Females, humans or bitten werewolves are considered inferior and as such any he comes across he kills. Driven in his goals, Sheppard is determined, stubborn and arrogant. He has an almost fanatical belief in himself, and his quest, believing that nothing can stop him. He has a quick temper and more than once has accidentally killed those he tried to turn to his cause due to his rage. For some reason however, despite his rages, Sheppard can be extremely patient, waiting many decades to gain what he wants. When his patience snaps however it is shocking. Despite all this however, Sheppard is a charismatic man, with a powerful personality which he uses to control those with weaker mindsets. He has the ability to inspire complete loyalty in those he brainwashes, and should he wish to convince someone to help him for what ever reason, he is highly likely to succeed.
Sheppard is intensely territorial when it comes to his own pack; his ‘flock’ as he calls them. Although in battle he would abandon one should his death seem certain, he would never allow anyone in his pack to leave – he would kill them first. They belong to him and he treats them as such, filling their minds with his own brand of propaganda, rather like a cult leader. He is raciest, xenophobic and sexist, believing in the purity of his line above all others and in the ethnical ‘cleansing’ that he thinks must take place.
A sign of Sheppard’s mental instability is his fasciations with silver, despite its deadly effect on him and his kind. He nearly always has some kind of silver object with him, normally a collar or set of chains which he uses to punish other werewolves. However he sometimes holds them, letting the silver burn his flesh without any reaction. These silver objects are kept in a wooden box.
WEAKNESSES: Despite his many years, Sheppard is still unable to control and contain his temper. While this normally only spells trouble for those he takes out his rage on, it can sometimes lead to him being reckless and taking unnecessary risks. Over confident in both his own powers and the sway he holds over his pack, Sheppard is arrogant and thinks there is nothing in this world that can stop him. Such overconfidence has led to certain incident in his past, which are never spoken about. As with all werewolves he cannot stand prolonged contact with silver as it burns and would poison him, but he refuses to cower before it.
ABILITIES: Along with all of his kind, Sheppard possesses heightened strength and endurance, senses off the chart, agility (able to scale walls and dodge bullets in extreme cases where awareness is at its peak, as well as being able to leap from great heights such as a roof, and land without injury or fault), balance and healing.
As Sheppard is possibly the oldest werewolf alive, he has both of the rare traits older werewolves possess, with the ability to change only part of his body to his wolf form, such as an arm or his head, as he wills. When in wolf form, Sheppard can also communicate almost telepathically with other werewolves, no matter who he is speaking.
Sheppard is a sadistic torturer and a greatly skilled one at that, capable of inflicting incredible amounts of pain but not fatally injuring or disabling the person. He knows a great deal about anatomy because of this, and knows where each bone is weakest, how to break a certain one. He is a master of a Russian art called “zamochit”, which is the breaking of every bone in the body. Normally the victim is alive until the last few bones are snapped – Sheppard prides himself on how many bones he can break before death. This is his favoured manner of killing those he believes unclean or unworthy and can take anywhere up to four hours of agony.
WEAPONS: Sheppard prefers when possible to use his fists and claws, choosing the brutality of his own in-built weapons to any man made ones. He very rarely carries any weapon on him, relying on his speed and skill over his opponents. When he is ‘training’ a new member however it is a different story. Here he will use a wide variety of weapons, from elegant swords tipped with silver, other members of his pack, pokers and many more. One of his favourite means of ‘teaching’ is by a customised electric taser, which can be set to different levels of strength depending on how badly he wishes to punish, ranging from a mild jolt to one which is fatal to humans.
PRIZED POSSESSIONS: His son. A wooden box in which he holds a collection of silver torture devices, ranging from a silver coated collar, to a set of silver chains and cuffs to a small silver bladed dagger.
HOME(S): Sheppard’s pack wanders and as such never really live in any place for an extended period of time. He does own a series of shacks on the mountain ranges in Switzerland, and it is here that he keeps his most important possession. Currently they are settled in the Church of St. Peter of the Rock Temple, in the suburbs of Los Angeles.
HISTORY: Sheppard believes himself to be the oldest werewolf alive, the first and the most pure of all the wolves. Most of his early life is shrouded in myth, with claims that he appeared fully grown into the world or that he was ‘found’ as a child in Scotland, the scar on his leg being a result of his dangerous birth or in a fight that he became involved in seconds after his birth. Whatever the case, little is known of him until he left Scotland, after slaughtering those who had raised him or called themselves his kin.
As a young man he roamed the British Isles, horrified by what he thought of as the creeping stench of humanity that covered it. Sheppard had already killed his family by this time and found that he enjoyed the killing, so much so that he began to randomly kill humans, justifying it to himself that he was simply cleaning the world of its filth – in later years he grew to be so arrogant and sure of himself that self justification was no longer needed, and those he killed were like flies, swatted aside and then never thought of again.
He found no other werewolves for over two hundred years and by the time he first encountered one, he had changed, becoming colder, more aloft. Sheppard by now believed he was the only werewolf in the world and when faced with evidence to the contrary he simply killed the other, along with her mate and child. For another five hundred years he would personally deny that there were any other of his kind.
Werewolves by this time however had spread all over Britain and he was forced to admit that he was not alone. It is at this point that he began to believe he was the oldest werewolf alive, the first and the most pure – backed up no doubt by his inability to find any others for so long. He could not remember what his parents were, and denied them to be his own blood and instead called them filthy humans who found him and took him from his wolf parents, claiming to be the direct link between a true wolf and a human. It was only later that he claimed to be fully grown at his ‘birth’.
Sheppard became obsessed with the purity of ‘his’ race, believing only pure blood werewolves were worthy of even living. Out of all the other races he found bitten werewolves to be the biggest abominations, killing any he found without mercy. Sheppard thought women were the ‘weaker’ sex and so when he decided to start his own pack, he knew that none would ever be welcome.
At first Sheppard collected his pack in the traditional manner, allowing them greater freedom and to retain their own memories. He found however that such wolves were ‘weak’ without his direct guidance in the shaping of their minds and would often fail him by turning humans or becoming involved with a female. At nearly nine hundred years in age he turned on his first attempt at a pack, wiping them out viciously.
He decided to adopt a different approach, to take pure born male children shortly before their first transformation. In this way he could brainwash them to his liking, ensuring devout loyalty as well as pure and strong wolves in his pack. One of his earlier attempts at this was the kidnapping of a young boy called Cole Stanton, but here he mistimed, taking the boy sooner than he meant to, meaning the child’s transformation did not happen when expected. Frustrated, Sheppard lost his temper, viciously slashing him and leaving him for dead.
His other attempts proved more successful however, and he would beat and torture the captive male’s terribly, breaking their spirit and brainwashing them, removing any pervious memories they had of life. When satisfied that the werewolf was suitably beaten down and broken, Sheppard would gift them with a new name and identity, building them back up to be mindless killing machines, concerned only with following Sheppard’s orders and being monsters in their own right. Each potential pack member was selected carefully, as being strong even as children, fast and most importantly to Sheppard, pure blooded, for at least two generations.
Keeping his pack small and controlled, Sheppard was then able to turn his attention to his other goal in life: continuing his line and keeping it pure. He selected a female pure blood who had over four generations of pure blood in her direct line. Her name was unimportant to him, as he systematically beat her and broke her, imprisoning her in his base at Switzerland. When she was sufficiently docile, he began to rape her whenever he visited, growing more and more anger at the lack of male children – his four female children were murdered as soon as they were born and thrown out to the elements.
Unknown to Sheppard however, the captive woman retained some spark of her own life, perhaps awoken at the mistreatment of her children. She snuck out after he left to bury each broken body, her guards turning a blind eye. When a male child was finally born however, the woman took her revenge, killing both the child and herself before Sheppard could take it.
Sheppard simply began again, taking another female of pure blood descent, repeating the process of beating and torture. This female was not made of the sterner stuff her predecessor was and offered no resistance or caring at the birth and then death of their first female child. The second to be born was male and for a few months, Sheppard allowed her to live, breast feeding the baby. Paranoid that she was suddenly turn out to be like the pervious woman compelled Sheppard to return when the boy was only three months old, killing the mother and instead capturing a human mother, instructing her to raise the child.
When the boy was a year old, Sheppard killed the human, turning the child over to his most trusted two pack members, leaving them in Switzerland.
Recently he and his pack of four trained wolves and one in-training have begun to travel America again, still seeking out pure blooded children, needing only a few more to make his pack how he wishes.
