Practically biting down on his own tongue to keep a bestial yell from breaking out of his throat, Eli shook visibly as perspiration broke out furiously down his chest, back and over his brow, dampening his messy dark hair. The room wasn’t unfamiliar to him, and it wasn’t fright that caused him to tremble the way he was. It was the moon. It pulled at him, like a rope tied tightly about his innards, and he could feel claws tearing at his mind, almost buckling his legs out from under him with the intensity.
He tried to tell himself to fight it, but it had never worked in the past. He hadn’t even been a teenager when the vampires had taken him, and as such, he’d never learned how to fight it… at least not in ways that would work. Eli could tell himself he didn’t want to change; he could tell the wolf to go away. But it never worked. None of it did.
And he knew that if he let it out before Katrina secured him, then she would hurt him… badly. He’d been raised to fear the possibility of that, and very much did. Eli kept his eyes tightly closed, feeling them water as his head pounded mercilessly. The wolf roared for release, and tore into everything inside of him, commanding to be freed from the prison of the human shell. The moon was lifting into the sky, and Eli’s humanity was waning. Even as he stood there, shaking, he could feel his canines extend, and his heart beat more furiously, anticipating the change.

Katrina took her sweet time descending to the basement - she could see and feel the tremors rocking Eli's body - the moon was calling him as usual -- and she gave a small smile at the grimace on his face. If he turned before she secured him... he knew what happened then.. she gave a low laugh, and his head turned just a little.
"Ready, mongrel?" She walked over to the wall, pushing a button. A panel swung away, revealing manacles on long chains of thick titanium. Gesturing for him to move towards her, she waited - if he so much as sprouted a hair, she could make this harder than it had to be.

Her voice tore through him, sending a cold shudder down his spine as he opened his eyes and looked in her direction. This entire process, chains and all, wasn’t new to him, but that didn’t mean it was by any means ‘welcome’. Swallowing awkwardly, given his suddenly too-dry throat, he didn’t dare to hesitate long before moving towards her. His bare feet made very little noise on the hard, cold floor, but the baggy legs of his pants dragged slightly around his ankles… not that he noticed.
Coming up before her, he kept his head bowed. Not only was it the ever-present signs of submission, but he was in a constant struggle to keep the wolf down. He dare not even so much as open his mouth, to keep the growls down in his throat; he knew he probably wouldn’t be able to stop them if he didn’t fight the way he was. His jaw ached with the pressure, but if he growled at Katrina — he matter how accidental — then he would pay for it.

Katrina clapped the manacles around his legs - adjusting them so that when he gained his size they would not cut his limbs off. She didn't want a crippled werewolf. With cold detachment she did the same to his arms - pushing the chains up to his biceps where they would stay for a moment - long enough for him to change so they wouldn't just slip straight off.
Now came her favorite part. "Eli. Head up." She lifted the last piece - a collar that would go around his throat... and the final piece. It hung around his smaller build, but when he turned, it would fit just like a dog collar. Now was when she would see if he could hold it... and if he didn't, she would be pulling the silver dagger from her boot, and beginning what she deemed the most entertaining part of the full moon.

As always, Eli did as he was told. He didn’t struggle or fight her, but simply let her chain him. The manacles were too big, obviously, but he knew their purpose; when he changed, they would restrain him completely. It was not a matter of ‘if’… it was definitely ‘when’. It was simply a question of how long he could hold it. Experience had told him that he couldn’t let his bestial side out when Katrina was still near to him. She didn’t like that, and after previous instances of losing control, he didn’t like it either.
But it was getting harder, with each passing moment. His skull felt like it was splitting in half, and his almost-constant grimace showed how much holding it back was hurting him. The fact that he wasn’t wearing a shirt showed the strain on the rest of his body as well. Eli trembled with the struggle, his knees begging to give out on him, but he couldn’t let them. If he lost his concentration on keeping the wolf down — something that slamming down to his knees would ultimately do — then he would lose control altogether.
The wolf roared, raging inside of him. The moon was rising, and it was furious that he hadn’t let it out; it never did learn. Just a little while longer, he begged it inside his own mind, weakly, as he groaned lightly. Please…

Settling the collar, she buckled the last clasp. She'd just turned to leave him when she heard the light groan. Stopping in her tracks, she turned back. "Eli... really, you know better." It was a near purr. She stepped towards him again, and let her warm breath touch his shoulders as she spoke.
"We don't need to continue this the hard way..." she put a finger over his lips - hovering it there with light, warm touches... "Do we?"

Eli couldn’t help it. He shivered visibly at the touch, and grimaced heavily. Part of him knew what she was doing, and why, but the other part of him was reacting instinctively. His entire body tensed even more than it already had, if such a thing was possible, and he inhaled sharply. Fight it he told himself, realising already that he was actually fighting a losing battle. It didn’t matter how hard he tried… he simply lacked the discipline that would have come from being raised in a pack atmosphere.
The wolf was enraged by the touch, no matter how light, and commanded to be released, so it could lash out at the offending party. Closed though they were, Eli’s eyes burned a brighter green than they normally would have, and fighting back another groan like the one that had caught her attention in the first place, he felt the rumble in the back of his throat. And hoped against hope Katrina hadn’t heard it…

Katrina's mouth spread into a smile. "Oh, Eli...." She had heard the deep rumble and gave a chuckle. She backed up just a little and put her hands on her hips. "Look at me, dog."
Obeying her command was automatic for Eli, even in the kind of struggling state he was in, and his eyes opened at once, following her order before he'd even realised the implication.
Her smile widening at the color that appeared in his eyes, she reached into her boot and pulled out her silver dagger. "I'm torn, Eli." She said, conversationally, looking down at the blade. "I'm impressed. You're staying you - even at the late hour." She held the knife carefully and gave one clap. "That's excellent." She walked up to him, her smaller stature nothing to concern her as she looked into his eyes. "However. You lost control. Which as you know, must be punished." Tracing the blade along his collarbone, she tsk'd lightly with her tongue. "Such a dilemma."
"Ah well. Why not follow both." With a lightening fast move, she raked the blade shallowly down his chest as she bit him on the neck - only enough to pierce - she didn't wish to drink. Backing up, she watched the blood run down his chest and knew it would be enough.
Wiping her mouth with her fingertip, she waited for the inevitable.

Even before she’d said a word, Eli knew he’d failed. She’d heard the beginning of the growl in his throat, and he was about to pay for it. He winced in anticipation, closing his eyes regretfully as she neared him again. The blade against his collarbone drew a sharp, automatic hiss out of him, the weapon harming him even if it hadn’t yet drawn blood.
The two swift, but precise attacks left him visibly reeling. The burn of the silver blade and the bite to his neck drew a single cry out of him, and that was all it took for his internal walls to come crumbling down. The wolf, reacting to the vampiric strikes against its human shell, pounded its way up, clawing and snarling furiously. His knees didn’t give out on him, but they didn’t have to. In reeling back from the bite and the slash, his back hit the wall, causing him to gasp, before another cry ripped its way out of him. As the blood coursed down his bare torso, the cry caught, and became deeper; more guttural. His body shook violently, and his fists clenched so tightly that the knuckles turned white. The cracking of bone, and spreading of hair symbolised the real changes, and another yell echoed around the basement.
The young werewolf couldn’t fight it any longer, and it was like a crippling mental defeat when he succumbed. The wolf howled in victory, and started to emerge, swiftly overcoming the weaker body. Brown, spiky hair swarmed over his body, bursting out at all points and lengthening, taking on a copper hint. His limbs extended and increased in size, causing the manacles to tighten about his wrists and ankles, the chains on the latter having slipped down his arms to fit securely. As his legs finished reshaping to accommodate the new joint, his head was completing its transformation. His maw opened as his fangs pushed completely out from his gums hungrily, and craning his head back he snarled loudly as the chain attached to the collar rattled loudly.
Fully transformed, Eli’s human mind was gone; submerged under a feral madness brought about by the full moon. He turned blazing green eyes on the vampire in front of him, who held a silver blade that glinted in the low light. Lifting his jowls angrily, he inhaled deeply, and then bellowed deafeningly towards her. The chains snapped him back to the wall when he tried to lunge, which only increased his rage, and he roared at her again.

Katrina stood her ground, looking calmly at the raging beast infront of her. "Tsk. And I thought you were getting better." The second time he roared, she simply bared her fangs back at him mockingly.
"Bad dog." She laughed at her own joke.
Moving to the stairs, she looked back at the raging wolf. "I'll give you your food in the morning." This time maybe I won't throw it just out of reach... he took too long to recover last time... She climbed up and closed the door to the basement with a solid pull behind her.

The fact that Katrina walked away only fuelled Eli’s rage, and he bellowed deafeningly again, fighting viciously against the solid chains. They snapped his limbs back, and nearly tore his legs right out from under him, and if he tugged any harder on the thick collar, he was going to end up choking himself.
The huge brown lycanthrope’s hackles bristled as if electrified, and he fought against the restraints until his legs were literally buckled from beneath him by the manacles. With a rattle of chain, he fell to all fours, snarling furiously. Trying to twist and bite at the chains proved fruitless, and he almost completely tangled himself in the lengths, driving himself further and further into a frenzy.
By morning, not only would Eli be exhausted, but he would be sore from the struggle, and completely ashamed for buckling under the pressure.

The intimidating beast chained to the wall had worked itself into a frenzy, and was panting madly with the exertion. Its throat, wrists and ankles were strained and aching, but the animal didn’t register the discomfort at all as it struggled and wrenched its whole weight against the lengths of the restraints. The chains and manacles rattled loudly, mixing with the sound of the werewolf’s roars and howls of rage, and as the creature twisted, they tangled.
Trying to bite down on the strong metal only infuriated the lycanthrope more when it realised its efforts were going to waste. It bellowed at the chains, and twisted more and more, the lengths wrapping around the powerful legs, until they were torn right out from under its massive body. Heavily, the brown wolf fell to the basement floor, giving an involuntary howl of indignation and perhaps pain, as blazing green eyes turned on the offending chains.
In the very back of its bestial mind, the werewolf heard two words; You’re stuck…
For a moment, the words held no meaning, before they slowly started to sink in, and the more the wolf struggled, the weaker its fight became. The chains were well and truly tangled, and the creature that was Eli would not only be unable to sort them for himself, but until he transformed at dawn, he wouldn’t even be able to so much as stand without tripping himself. Ragged ears drooped slightly; hackles lost their spike, and a heavy, low sigh escaped the cavernous chest.
Finally resigned to his fate for the night, Eli managed to curl his bulk against the wall, wrapped in chain from the ‘knee’ down, thoroughly uncomfortable, and unable to do anything about any of it.

Katrina entered through the basement steps. Her night had been uneventful, and before she retired for the morning, she meant to check on her dog. The sight that met her eyes would have made even a fairly hard heart melt - the animal was terribly caught, and had obviously been in pain for a great deal of the night.
Katrina's heart had been stone for many, many years. She looked down and merely was annoyed. "Eli!" Her voice snapped over the walls and echoed, reverberating in rich tones.
She descended the steps until she was on the floor level with him - holding a large covered plate. It held a massive cooked meal - she loved watching the struggle of him trying to become human -- she never let him eat in animal form -- and with the chains so tangled, it would be even more of a struggle. "Your meal is here, dog. You know what to do, so get on with it."

The transformation back from wolf to human was an exhausting one, and after the painful night of being tangled in his own chains, Eli would have been relieved to change back, if it hadn’t been for the fact that his ‘owner’ was crouched in front of him, covered plate in her hand. Breathless, he bowed his head down and over; with a metallic rattle, the collar fell from around his neck and hit the floor. He gasped lightly as some of the pain from the tangling ebbed away; the chains were no longer so tight as they had been when his form had been larger, and warily, he started to lift his gaze.
Seeing Katrina in front of him, he shrunk back a little, instinctively. He’d learned long ago to always be on his guard around the vampire. In the end, it saved him the surprise of anything she might throw at him, if nothing else.

Katrina gave a crooked smile, her eyes shining with her own power. "Did you have a good night, puppy?" She laughed. She uncovered the plate and threw it down - the heavy dish landing with a thunk that somehow did not shatter it.
A large hunk of meat, slightly cooked, but mostly raw lay on the plate, and a small loaf of bread besides. It wasn't the greatest feast, but she wasn't in the mood to play. "Your breakfast. Eat - you can go to your room for the day now. Stay there til night - you know why." She traced the silver knife in her belt. "We'll meet down here again for round two at dusk."
She turned and began to walk up the stairs. "I'm going to bed. Clean up after yourself and the house before you sleep. I dropped a few things." With that, she slammed the basement door after her and went up to her room to sleep.
