She smiled, fangs gleaming. "You're going to be him - come the night." She pointed at Eli. "Your wounds dictate it to be so.. and I'm sure in your head you're realizing it. In fact, I wonder if you'll even need those glasses."
She gave a short laugh. "Coming to the point. You have one other option. You'll become a wolf tonight. Or I bite you - and you become my new vampire protégé . Both are powerful - one merely animal - the other... well. You see that." Looking down at him, she gave a small pout. "Which would you like?"

“Neither sounds at all tempting; I think I’d rather be dead.” At least then he wouldn’t have to worry about being a werewolf- was he really accepting that? It certainly seemed so, as crazy as it sounded- or a vampire. Though, admittedly, being dead didn’t sound all that spectacular. Although… if he really ended up having to choose between being a werewolf and a vampire, he knew he’d choose the former due to the simple fact it meant that he wouldn’t be like her.

The lady vampire reached down and hauled at his chains, pulling him off balance and making sure he fell hard. "I can make you wish I'd given you that option." She aimed a kick at his torso and felt the satisfying thunk of her boot against his rib cage. "You'll learn what it is to really wish for death."
"What a waste." She cracked the whip in the air for her own pleasure and stalked away from him. "Ah well." She walked up to Eli and stood just out of chain's reach. "Tonight will be fun, won't it Eli." She bared her fangs and hissed at him to drive him mad.

The large jaws parted, spittle flying as he roared loudly and bestially, ears flattening back. His hackles stood up like sharp spikes, and his eyes glowed almost maniacally, another bellow parting his maw and reverberating deafeningly around the basement. He wanted to smash her into the ground, and rip her to pieces, and hear the satisfying cracks as her bones caved between his jaws.
But the chain held him back. It always held him back, but he never stopped trying to tear himself free, and with only one arm secured, he swiped fiercely through the air at her; his claws sliced through the air not far from her, falling just short as his restrained arm throbbed at the shoulder. By the morning, he would likely have pulled it right out of joint, but it wouldn’t have been the first time. And it probably wouldn’t be the last, either…

Flynn winced as he pushed himself back up into a sitting position, no doubt in his mind that the vampire could do just as she had said. It was really just a matter of when she would rather thatif. The only things he knew about her was what he had seen, but that was more than enough for him. He really didn’t need to know anything else. He didn’t want to.

Katrina gave a soft smile. She spoke to Eli, low...tauntingly. "You'd love to get me, wouldn't you, dog. Foul beasts. Foul and disgusting animals." She looked over at the human with a small smile. "Two will certainly be fun. I'd forgotten how much fun it was breaking you as a boy... the wolf - you don't believe you belong to me, but you do. As long as your human does, you do. And you don't like that, do you - dog."
Katrina bared her fangs and hissed derisively at the wolf. "Come morning, and you can explain to that" - she gestured at Flynn - "what's coming. Because I know you remember. I can see it in your feral eyes." She cracked the whip, striking the wolf across it's muzzle with a crack, splitting the skin.

The crack of the whip had made the tall, scruffy ears flatten, but when it snapped across his muzzle, he recoiled instinctively with a yelping howl, before he was right back to lunging at her, jaws snapping blindly as his eyes blazed, one still partly-shut from the blood that had seeped from the wound cut up his face. The pain didn’t register; the fury was all that mattered to the moon-maddened animal.
The chain rattled loudly, snapping taut with each unsuccessful lunge, staying strong and firm in the wall behind the animal as it fought against the restraints that it knew, deep down, it wouldn’t break out of.

Flynn very seriously wanted no part of this, but, unfortunately, there was nothing he could do about it. He was very obviously awake- there usually wasn’t any pain in dreams, after all- and he wished more than anything right now that he wasn’t; he would have given just about anything if he could wake up and find himself still on his sofa with Mica curled up on his stomach. He had the feeling that he was going to be thinking that more often than he cared to admit if he couldn’t figure out some way out of his predicament. Certainly, he didn’t appreciate being called ‘that’, but he thought there were much, much more important things to be concerned with at the moment.
He watched the interaction between vampire and werewolf- it was scary that he now actually accepted that that was what they were- warily, pushing himself gingerly back against the wall so that he was now leaning against it. Right now, there was really nothing he could do. He wasn’t crazy enough to attempt figuring a way out of the chains while Katrina was there, but as soon as she left the room, all bets were off and he had every intention of trying to come up with something that at least resembled a plan.

Pain always made Katrina smile. And the smile that graced her face - if you didn't know her, or know what she was smiling at - would have been beautiful. But with the knowledge that it came from pain - it was almost more horrifying to behold than her snarls.
She watched Eli rip and tear at the chains in the wall - she was in her favorite element. She looked sidelong at the human. Eli's wounds would heal quickly. By this time tomorrow, he'd have almost no signs of what she'd done - save the wounds from the silver. She snapped the whip to glance over one of those wounds now, giving a laugh as he yelped. Eli would heal - and so would the human.. come tomorrow night, after the change.
A laugh bubbled in her throat. She walked back over to Flynn and cracked the whip across his body, barely missing his leg. The next crack hit his leg - and the fabric of his jeans shredded in a line, blood appearing - for Katrina's whip carried a barbed sting. Her laughter echoed off the walls as her last two cracks ripped what was left of his shirt to shreds - and the blood began to come freely.
"I've given you a gift." Her voice was loud, and with a dark humor. "You'll understand what it is to feel wounds heal. You should thank me, Flynn.. I've changed your life."

Flynn had been unable to silence the cries of pain as the whip had made contact, though he really had tried. The first time, anyway. The others… well, he had known that he wouldn’t be able to keep them in so he hadn’t even tried. And, really, he didn’t know why he had tried with the first one; Flynn should have known that he wouldn’t be able to manage it.
Thank…? Like hell. I was fine like I was. As much as he wanted to say just that, he didn’t quite dare. He didn’t want to have his wounds heal like that if it meant being a werewolf. That was too high of a price to pay for something like that as far as he was concerned.
“How can it be a gift if it comes with this?” he finally asked. He was careful with his tone, but he had to ask. To see what this twisted individual- were all vampires like this?- might have to say. He didn’t know what would be said and he knew that he wasn’t going to like it, but he felt that he had to know what she would say.

Katrina regarded him coolly. "Life from me, is a gift, my dear boy." She bared her fangs a little. "I could have let Eli kill you. Eat you. The way he still wants to - don't you Eli." She purred in his direction, and laughed as he snapped in her direction. "Doesn't get a word, stupid animal."
She turned back to Flynn and met his eyes with her bright green ones. "How is it a gift? It is powerful muscles, and healing properties. You were merely human before - now... you will be more. That, my dear boy, is gift enough." She smoothed her shirt and straightened the top of her boot before saying - "You may wish I hadn't given you the gift of life sometimes... and I look forward to you begging me to take it back." Smiling down at him, she added softly - "Because you will. Eventually every dog in this world will."

Flynn couldn’t help the doubtful look that had come to his face when she had explained to him about the ‘gift’. It would have been far too much of an obvious statement to point out that they had far different views of what was and wasn’t a gift. I was just fine as a human… That thought gave him pause; he really had accepted all of this insanity, hadn’t he? He was valiantly trying to ignore the first and last bits of what she had said, finding it much easier to ignore it than address it.
“Do you consider these a gift, too?” he asked, pulling pointedly on one of his chains. He was still watching his tone because he couldn’t even fool himself into thinking that it didn’t matter. He rather wished that he could keep himself from talking, but even he couldn’t help it at times despite knowing that there would likely be consequences for such things.

Her face hardened immediately. Eyes that had been light (for her) darkened, and she looked down at him with an expression that one might reserve for someone looking at a disgusting scene. "You have been entertaining. That begins to sound like... impertinence." She walked over and scruffed him, bodily lifting him with one hand by the throat. Not off the floor, just enough that his breathing became difficult.
"You have worn out your freedom for today. Stop talking, or I will remove your tongue. With my teeth." Her fangs gleamed, and her nails dug into his skin. "You belong to me now, and after that - " she gestured to Eli - "changes - you'll know the full rules." Dropping him so that the chains rattled she stalked away. "Your branding will be tomorrow. After Eli shows you his." Her voice softened. "Good night Flynn. Sweet dreams - don't let anything... bite you."
She laughed as she walked past Eli - ignoring him - and walked up the stairs. It was time to rest. Tomorrow was already coming fast... and there was so much to do.

POST-TIMESKIP
The change wasn’t overly violent, but the wolf howled miserably and seemingly in pain as it contorted and shrunk in on itself, bones and cartilage cracking as the body reformed and reshaped. The howl became more ‘human’ as the vocal chords twisted and shifted and after a couple of minutes that seemed to drag on for hours, the final snap of vertebrae and joints sounded hollowly in the room, and Eli Whitman slumped back against the wall in his tattered pants, the fabric clinging to his waist as he panted and kept himself from collapsing, head bowing over, shaggy hair in exhausted disarray.
Eli’s world spun for several more minutes, familiar, foul-tasting nausea swimming up and clinging in his throat, and he coughed and gagged, knowing deep down what he had done and hating it… despising it, but as usual, too frightened to really react to it beyond a weary grimace and a small groan.
And then, as he pulled in a breath to steady himself… he detected the scent. And his eyes widened. That wasn’t Katrina…
His head lifted, timid, and his softer green eyes landed on the chained man across the basement. “No… oh no, no, no…”

He felt as if his eyes were driving him insane and there was a pressure behind them that spoke of a possible upcoming headache, something that he was in no mood or position to deal with. In hopes of stopping the headache in its formative stage, Flynn had removed his glasses and had been sitting with his head bowed and his eyes closed, wishing for nothing more than everything that had happened the previous night to be one bad dream. Again. He wasn’t sure how many times he had wished that, but it was becoming a sort of mantra in his head and he was getting tired of it, especially since he wasn’t waking up safely back at home.
He hadn’t even looked up at the sounds of the transformation across the room. As disturbing as the sounds actually were, looking up wasn’t something that he had been willing to do until he heard the voice. Flynn had to admit that he was curious to see the human form of the werewolf that had turned him. That didn’t even seem insane to him any more, which rather frightened him. He had accepted the existence of werewolves and vampires- he had even accepted that he was now one of the former, something that had really happened when he had realized that it felt like there was a creature in his mind and he had realized that his vision was getting better when he had taken off his glasses.
Finally raising his head, Flynn looked to the other occupant of the basement. While his vision was very clearly getting better, it still wasn’t good enough for him to make out any real details, so he gave in and put his glasses back on, the pain behind his eyes giving a sharp and sudden throb.
