Right now, Flynn was too desperate to seize this perfect chance to worry about what Katrina would do to him if she found out. If he had his way, the vampire would never have the chance to know that anything had happened. Or, if she did realize it, it would be far too late for her to do anything about it. He just had to convince Eli that it was for the best- that they could pull this off and get out of there. The only problem was going to be actually getting Eli to see things his way.
“I’m willing to take my chances on this one. All I need you to do is give me a way to get out of these chains. After that, I’ll handle the rest of it. I’ll make sure that I finish her off so that neither of us have to worry about what she might do if she finds out what I’m talking about.” He had no idea as to how exactly he was managing to sound and act so calmly- he was calm, despite knowing that he should be terrified and that honestly worried him slightly.
I’ll figure it out after we’re out of here.

In many ways, Eli was childlike and would possibly never change. The whimper he released as Flynn continued to talk and tried to persuade was, for all intents and purposes, childlike. His hands even moved to cover his ears as his head bowed to temporarily hide behind his bent knees as he curled into himself in the corner, giving another whine of a sound, part-wolf and part-human.
“No, no, no,” he mumbled briskly. When he continued, it was low in volume and brisk in pace, as if he wanted to expel the words, as if they tasted bad in his mouth and the shame that they left him with after they formed was unbearable; “She won’t just hurt you, after she’s done with you she’ll hurt me again and I have to do what she says, or she hits me and takes things away.” Things like the freedom of movement he had earned over the past seven decades; like the hand-me-down novels she allowed him to read.

Clearly there was going to be no convincing Eli that he’d make sure that Katrina didn’t have the opportunity to do those things, so Flynn gave a heavy sigh and shifted a bit so that he could lean against the wall comfortably. “Okay, okay. I won’t do anything, but I think we’re wasting a really good chance here.” His voice wasn’t harsh, but more consoling than anything. Given the situation he felt that he had every right to just start screaming at the top of his lungs at Eli. He wanted to go home and this was probably the only chance he was going to get. Even so, he would have felt guilty had he started yelling; it would have been like yelling at an already frightened child.
Deciding that a change in subject was needed, he cast around quickly in his mind for one. Hopefully, something that’d calm Eli down because seeing anyone in his current state tended to get to Flynn. Instead of the question about what the rest of the house was like, Flynn ended up asking, “What can expect being around here? She said that she can make me wish that she'd kill me, so I'd at least like to know what might be coming." Where that came from he had no idea, but it was a little late to take it back.

Katrina had broken Eli a long time ago, and it would take nothing short of her ultimate destruction — and them some — to bring him around again. These were not thoughts that plagued Eli’s mind often, or even at all; he was too used to being obedient and fearful of his mistress, vivid recollections of his ‘training’ bursting back into his mind’s eye at the simplest thought or inkling of rebellion, each and every one immediately extinguished by intimidation and experience. He knew better.
Bottom half of his face buried in the material of the pants he was wearing, eyes looking up over his knees warily, he tried to become smaller at the sound of Flynn’s sigh. Eli automatically associated it with disappointment, and he swallowed a pine of concern, keeping himself quiet until he needed to be otherwise. He couldn’t leave Katrina on the steps for long; her clothes would get dusty, and that just would not do.
“All sorts of things.” The words were muffled by his knees, his eyes finding Flynn’s across the basement. He didn’t want to talk about them; things that had been used against him, to ‘train’ or punish him. Eli gave a bodily shake from his place tucked into the corner, his gaze wandering to lock on Katrina’s slumped form again.

‘All sorts of things’ was not the sort of reply Flynn had been looking for. He needed specifics if he was even going to try getting ready, but when he thought about it, he knew that it wouldn’t help anyway. How did one get ready for torture, anyway? A couple of cyanide pills so that death came before the torture? That wasn’t an option open to him and the moment and even if it had been, dying was the last thing Flynn wanted to do. What he wanted was to get out of this place and go home. He’d even happily go into work and deal with the biggest disaster the station had ever thrown his way if it just meant getting away.
Leaning his head back against the wall, he looked up at the ceiling and wondered what was going on at work. Blu had probably long since gotten worried, especially if she had tried either of his phones without getting an answer because even if the neighbor was at his apartment taking care of Mica, she wouldn’t pick up the phone since it wasn’t her apartment. As for Mica, he was hoping that no one would think that he had abandoned her. Blu would most certainly know better- she knew how much his cat meant to him- but he couldn’t speak for everyone else.
Still in the same position, Flynn suddenly and violently pulled on the chains keeping his arms from having as much range as he would have liked. He wanted out!

The loud noise startled Eli, and he jerked in response to that shock, looking towards Flynn fearfully and so fast that his unkempt hair sprawled across his brow and in his eyes, which were greener than they ought to have been. He ceased to breathe for the few moments where his shock and instincts truly took over, tucking him even tighter into the corner that already seemed to hug his whole, tall body.
When the moment had passed, he mumbled to himself about needing to move her, and rose awkwardly and yet at the same time with a lanky kind of grace from the corner, not even sparing a second to dust himself off before he was striding with preternatural stealth and caution towards the fallen form of Katrina. His glance towards Flynn was meek, and when he was standing over the slumbering vampire, he did dust himself off down the front, if only so he wouldn’t dirty his mistress’ clothes. She wouldn’t thank him for that.
With that done, he bent to carefully take her body in his arms, movements precise and steady so he wouldn’t wake her. She wouldn’t thank him for that either.

Flynn straightened his head just as Eli looked to him, his blue eyes showing a hint of gray that had never been there before. He hadn’t intended to startle the other wolf, but he was starting to get angry over the predicament and as far as he could see, Eli was in the absolute perfect position to get them both out of it if only he’d act. The technician knew that it was silly to be getting angry at Eli- he was obviously terrified of what the vampire could do and Flynn knew without a doubt that, had their positions been reversed, he would have been reacting in exactly the same was as the other wolf. Despite that, though, he was annoyed that there was such a perfect opportunity and Eli was passing it up.
Watching as Eli picked up Katrina, Flynn couldn’t help but say, “This is the perfect opportunity, you know. If you’re not up for dispatching her, then unlock me and I’ll do it.” And right now, with the way he was currently feeling, he really would do it. He didn’t care what it would take, he would finish off the vampire if he could just get out of the chains that were holding him there. If push came to shove, he’d tell himself that it was self-defense. After what had already happened and what was likely to in the future, he thought that that would be more than enough to help him go through with what needed to be done. Flynn had never wanted to kill anyone before and he knew that this wasn’t like him, but if it came down to him or her, the choice was an easy enough one to make.

Subtle though it was, Eli had seen that hint of animal in Flynn’s eyes, recognised it so powerfully because he saw it so rarely, something that made so much sense in his childlike mind and yet would probably not register with most others as anything even remotely resembling logic. He had said nothing about the shift though, tensing only slightly, as if expecting the other — much younger — werewolf to try and lunge, regardless of the chains that held him back to the wall of the basement.
Killing was a part of life for Eli, even if he wasn’t the one dealing the final blow; usually, he chased or led unwitting ‘meals’ into Katrina’s grasp, using his innocent body language and boyish looks to attract and lull them, something that his mistress had mocked was almost painfully easy. Did Eli hate himself for what he did? Yes, of course, as much as he could hate himself in his fractured state. But that didn’t mean it would just stop. Nothing he had lived with for so long could just stop.
Including Katrina.
Perfectly still otherwise, he turned his head to look at Flynn from where he stood on the steps, the motionless vampire in his arms, cradled almost gently, as if he didn’t dare jostle her. In a quiet, subtly shaky voice, he said to the other werewolf, almost a warning, “She’s more of a light sleeper than you think…”

Shutting his eyes, Flynn squeezed the bridge of his nose lightly, giving a little shake of his head. It didn’t really matter right now if the vampire was a light sleeper or not. He had the urge to throw his hands up in the air as much as he could and just give up trying to reason with Eli. It was obvious that he wasn’t going to get anywhere in trying to make him see how simple it would be to end their problems, but completely giving up wasn’t something that he was ready to do. He’d drop it for now, but it was going to be turning over in his mind; it was almost like a particularly complex problem that he was called on to solve at work. It might take a little experimenting and some time to solve, but he couldn’t give up until he had figured out the solution.
He was tired and hurting and more than anything, he just wanted out of there so he could go home and collapse into his nice comfortable bed, maybe with Mica curled up on his back. He’d call Blu first and then work, but after that, he’d sleep and try to convince himself that this had all been some elaborate nightmare. Unfortunately, he didn’t see that happening any time soon, no matter how much he wished for it.

Her passing out had been a surprise - after the initial dead sleep, Katrina could fight her way back just enough if necessary. She came to as Eli picked her up and felt herself being moved to the stairs. She could hear Flynn's voice - she fought to keep a smile from curling her lips. He'd learn. Just as her Eli did.
Her eyes slitted open and she waited for Eli to look down at her again -- she knew he would -- and when he did, the green of her eyes flashed before she closed them again. He'd do what was required of him. As he'd begun to do.
She'd done her work with him - Eli belonged to her - always would - and she knew it. Flynn's education would begin... after she'd accepted that sleep would need to come first.

Eli was genuinely saddened by Flynn’s incapability to understand that he was denying him the chance for his own good. Katrina would awaken before the younger, newer werewolf could get even remotely close to trying anything that may or may not prove fatal to the vampire, and then… Flynn would suffer for it, badly. Eli didn’t want that, too wracked with guilt already at having attacked the other male as he had. He couldn’t let undue, excess suffering be his fault, either. He was trying to help Flynn, and even if he didn’t understand why, it was for his own good. Eli had to believe that.
Glancing down at Katrina, he tensed when he saw her looking up at him, even failing to breathe while his mistress showed her awareness, brief though it might have been in its entirety. Swallowing the hesitation in his throat, he looked over to Flynn again, an apologetic light in his eyes before he sighed quietly, and started making his way up the stairs.

With his eyes still closed, Flynn pulled his knees towards his chest and rested his forehead against them. As tired as he was, he was not going to willingly lie on the floor right now. He could rest a bit like this, though he knew that he was going to have to get some real sleep sooner or later, something that he wasn’t going to be able to do while sitting up. Even as he shifted on the floor enough to make himself a little more comfortable, which wasn’t much all things considered. He was trying to ignore the pain from the branding- it had been easier to do so when he was trying to convince Eli to either finish off Katrina or let him do it- but now, it seemed as if it was raging back in full force.
I need to find something else to focus on, he thought to himself. As anti-violence as Flynn was by nature, his mind wandered to what he could possibly do to take out a vampire. Even the non-violent, when faced with a situation like this, could start thinking up violent ways to get out, especially when that was likely the only way to get out. Right now, Flynn thought that that was his only option, even if he knew that it was unlikely it would ever work, especially if he wasn’t going to be able to get Eli to help him out, which he knew was out of the question.

POST TIMESKIP
He opened the door as quietly as possible, not wanting to disturb whatever might be happening below, swallowing the dryness and trepidation in his throat as he set one foot on the steps, and then another, stealthily and warily descending into the confines of the underbelly of the large, expensive house. To many, the idea that he was still so timid and even fearful at his age would have been laughable, but the notion didn’t even cross Eli’s mind as he worked his way down the simple, straight staircase into the basement, preparing his senses for what awaited at the bottom.
His mistress had requested his presence every night that she ‘trained’ their new arrival, and though it had turned Eli’s stomach every time, he had obeyed the vampire, without fail and without question. There was simply nothing else to be done, in his mind; she made the rules, and he obeyed them, too cowed and broken to do anything else. Eli couldn’t remember anything else, just obedience and pain when he failed to do as he was told.
As his dirty, old, second-hand boots scuffed softly, whispering over the wood of the steps as he lowered himself to the basement level, he tentatively cast his shadowed eyes towards the far wall.

Warning - this is intensely violent and bloody
She felt Eli's presence as he approached. Katrina stood, the whip's end coiled at her feet. The leather was soaked in blood, and the face of the man before her showed where she had hit last. His lips were split open, one eye swollen shut, the other still blackened from the previous night's work. His shoulders were a whorl of slashes and wounds - some healing, others, fresh and oozing. Her branded area was the only section of his back that she did not mar - choosing instead to dig her fingers into the burned flesh on occasion.
At first, he'd wolfed when she pushed enough buttons. It had been such fun. But today.. he wasn't turning. He was too weak - barely able to speak or even moan. This was not fun. He didn't even recoil when she licked his wounds. Not because he was broken - no, she hadn't broken him yet - yet - but he was just too far gone.
Throwing the whip to the floor, she gathered up her knives. "Set his fingers again, Eli. They'll heal in a day or two, and I can try to break them again then. Bring the salt." Looking down at him, she realized she'd forgotten something. She drove her boot heel into the nearly healed wound in his leg, causing the blood to flow lightly again - and then broke his other kneecap with a final kick.
"Salt, Eli. Move. We can't have him bleeding to death."
She stalked over to the wall and leaned against it, her lower lip extended in a near pout. She didn't know that they stopped turning wolf when they were too weak. That meant she'd have to leave him alone for a few days. Maybe it was just time to kill him.

Katrina’s sharp voice snapped him out of his stupor, the heady scent of so much blood having overwhelmed him, staggering him subtly back against the rear wall of the basement, the one that tapered alongside the staircase leading up to the house beyond. The vampire’s commands were enough to shatter the dazed state, and giving a bodily start, he stumbled forward, albeit only initially, moving to retrieve what his mistress commanded before he warily moved towards Flynn.
Eli could never remember it being this bad. Perhaps he had blocked it from his memory, but then, he recalled he had only become Katrina’s, and hers alone; he had not been that way from the very beginning. Perhaps the other vampires had stopped her. As his eyes roamed the other wolf’s body, he grimaced, face hidden from the vampire while he tried to see what to tend to first.
He almost thought applying salt to any of the wounds, fresh or otherwise, might send Flynn’s body over the edge, driving him into a complete state of shock that even a werewolf, especially a young one, would not recover from. Eli swallowed, hesitating, wary. If he pushed her new wolf over the edge…
