Watching Aiden as he burst through the door, apparently on a mission, Cole had to fight back a laugh, and broke off another piece of his pizza to eat, answering before he popped it in his mouth, “Haven’t seen any sign of them.” He looked to the resident handy-man — or wolf — and then chewed on the morsel. When he’d swallowed, he furrowed his brow. “Are you worried we might have a vermin problem?” The Alpha hadn’t detected any signs in the areas of the hotel he frequented, which, given his responsibilities to the pack, were quite numerous; he visited almost every floor of the hotel, week-in-week-out, at least once.
Cole glanced to Mara, and if he hadn’t known better, he could have sworn she was restless… ready to go. He offered her a smile. She was free to leave and wander around if she wanted, and he wouldn’t hesitate to accompany her if she wanted to be shown something in particular.

Mara finished the last bit of crust from her pizza and hurriedly wiped her hand on her leg before extending it and shaking the offered had from the burly wolf. "G'day, Aiden - I'm Mara. I don't do anything around here yet, but give me time." She gave a grin, surprised at her own bravado - but it was so good to be herself again.
Noticing Cole's eyes flick to the door, she felt that he was giving her permission to roam, and her wolf itched to explore. Thinking of the occurance in the music room again, she looked around the room again.
"I think I'd like to have a peek 'round the place now. Be good to know where I am if I suddenly find myself sleep walkin'. Maybe meet some more of the pack." She threw a smile to Molly and Jeremy. "Thanks for sharing your food - I really needed some tucker." To Aiden she gave a small wave - "If you need some help, I'm strong and not skittish around rodents. Growin' up in the outback in Australia means that anything that crawls has a good chance of killing you, so I am a little desensitized."
She pushed off the counter and walked over to the door.

"Okay," Cole said in acknowledgement to Mara. "Just don't hesitate to ask if you need anything; everyone will be willing to help." He smiled, and then looked back to Aiden, mind returning to the possibility of a vermin infestation.
"Do whatever you need to do," he told the other male. "The last thing we want is to be..." Cole glanced to Molly with a hidden smirk, "overrun by rats."

Molly felt her face burn and she gave a shudder at Cole's words, but she smiled as she stood from the table. She couldn't help her extreme dislike of rats despite having encountered many of the sewer variety before meeting the pack. And, if she remembered correctly, she'd hated them just as much - if not more - at that point, too.
"I'll think I'll take me cue from Mara," she muttered, standing and heading out the door with a wave to Jeremy and Aiden, and a polite nod to her Alpha. To Mara, she granted a grin, "Nice meeting you, Mara - I imagine I'll be seein' you around."

Jeremy had meant to be a part of the conversation, really he had. But he had gotten occupied with his sandwich…which seemed to be gone now so time to make another. And now that his mouth was empty he could talk and- hey, are people leaving? Colon frowny bracket for the pack historian. Ah well. But he swore he hear Aiden say something about rats…
Getting up from his seat Jeremy went about constructing the sandwich to end all sandwiches, part duex. And he made sure to tidy and put things back where they went as he went about it this time. No use in overlooking things like that when an Alpha was around. Thankfully, his hunger was sated enough that he could multitask by fixing his food, putting away ingredients and talking at the same time. Go, Jeremy!
“Are you setting traps?” he asked almost randomly in between moving towards the refrigerator to put away the salami, then deciding his creation needed another slice, then moving to put it away again but getting sidetracked with the mayo…. The brief thought that it would be funny to cut/shape the sandwich in the shape out a mouse head and ears crossed his mind but he let that go for now. It would certainly making eating more interesting. Maybe later…

Oh you just watch him make it fit, Aiden. He would switch from lycanthropic to serpentine and unhinge his jaw if he had to but he was eating that sandwich. Hmm, times like this being able to partially transform would come in handy, since his werewolf jaws were obviously bigger than his human ones. Now if he built a sandwich he couldn’t chomp as a werewolf- well now that would be something…
“Traps can be fun. Especially if you do one of those Goldberg contraptions…or a lot of those Goldberg contraptions.” He paused for a second, face scrunching briefly as in thought before a wide grin appeared. “That’d take up a lot of room but it would be really fun to watch.”

Finally finishing constructing Jeremy was obviously pleased, smile morphing into something of a goofy grin. And hmm, it totally still counted if he had to cut it in half. Of course it did. So Jeremy discreetly did just that and took his seat again
Goldberggoldberggoldberg Jeremy wasn’t entirely sure why the idea appealed to him so much but it did. Chalk it up to the strange brand of weirdness that was Jeremiah Starke, perhaps. And maybe the fact that in his mind a Goldberg machine of any kind was really more of a game than anything else. He remembered seeing a board game or something or other called- mouse trap, was it? He should have been able to remember that quicker. Again, stupid moon. Sometimes it got to him how the chaotic the changing phases made his brain. The fact that he could recall something so mundane and unimportant at all was probably impressive but to Jeremy- one who remembered more than a large percentage of the things he’d come in contact with- it was frustrating to not have that information as easily accessible at it should have been. Enough so that he actually frowned for a brief moment. What had they been talking about? Oh yes, rats, right? “There’s a game called mouse trap that’s kind of like that. All Goldbergian. But you catch a little plastic mouse that doesn’t move so I’m not sure how applicable that’d be….”

Mara gave Cole a small wave and left the group talking about the traps. Sticking her head out into the hallway, she looked up and down. Light was coming from around a corner up ahead, so she decided to go that way, away from the music room and kitchen that she'd seen before. Cole hadn't told her anywhere not to go, so she began walking down that way.

"Well, just make sure you two don't break anything you can't fix," Cole remarked with an amused smile, having finished his snack, and wiping his hands off on a towel from near the sink. "I'm sure I'll hear the bang, anyway." He offered Jeremy a somewhat mocking - but not cruel - smile, and then looked to Aiden. "Have fun."
With that, he headed out of the room. Just because he was centuries old, that didn't mean he didn't feel the approach of the moon, and it was time he took care of that.

Aiden had been partially right. The sandwich Jeremy constructed was just a bit too much of a match for its maker. Especially considering he already had its predecessor in his stomach. Thus far he’d pretty much made it through half but the other half? Oh, that was looking iffy. Still, he wouldn’t admit defeat so easily…
Popping up from his seat, Jeremy grabbed the half of the sandwich that was left quickly cleaned up any mess left that he might have made and headed to the door. “Time to go! Byyyye!”

As soon as she entered the kitched, Sissy headed straight for the refrigerator and pulled the door open. Searching the shelves and shuffling things about, she located a can of soda. Pulling it out, she opened it and took a drink before stepping back and shutting the door. She realized that she was putting off getting to work on those sites, but she just couldn't seem to help herself. After all, it isn't like I have to have them done tomorrow. Still, I guess I really should try to get them done before the moon is full. Things never seem to go according to plan on those nights.

Yawning widely, he pulled open the fridge, scouting the interior for something tasty. Pulling out the chocolate milk, he went for the cupboard next, claiming a large jar of peanut butter, and some bread from the container it was all kept in. Slotting a few rounds into the toaster, he pushed down the lever, and waited, slouching down onto one of the dining chairs as he poured himself a generous glass of the milk. Chocolate milk and peanut butter on toast was probably an odd breakfast combination, but he was in one of his moods… the weird cravings were a sure sign. He just wanted to curl up and sleep after the restless first night of the full moon, but his stomach had demanded filling first. And a werewolf’s appetite was not easily ignored.
When the toaster popped, he trudged over to the counter, spreading the peanut better sleepily, and then, after clearing up after himself, he went back to his seat, munching groggily on his breakfast.

Being the stubborn creature that she was, Molly only allowed herself to use Devon as an impromptu crutch for so long. She could bloody well shuffle lazily all on her own, thank you very much, and she told Devon so, but not without one of her lopsided smiles.
"Fine," Devon scoffed as they entered the kitchen. He waved groggily at Brody before returning his attention to the little Irish wolf at his side. "Stumble over your own two feet - see if I care."
"Shaddup, Dee," was the reply as Molly scooted away from Dev. She noted Brody as well, swooping down to peck him on the cheek with a mumble of, "Mornin', Cowboy," before she went about scrounging up some food for herself.
"Heeeey," she heard Devon whine playfully. "How come I don't get a kiss?"
"You're not special enough," Molly deadpanned.
"...Ouch, baby. Very ouch."

"What are you ouching about, Devon?" Heidi asked, stepping into the room too late to catch the rest of the conversation. "Morning, kids...everyone all right?" She still looked rather bleary herself, and perhaps a bit too eagerly did she fire up the percolator to start the morning coffee.
