Devon sighed. "Nothin', Heidi; m'fine. Molly's just gone and broken my heart again." The young wolf shuffled over to the fridge, sniffling pitifully all the while. Granted, the fact that he was trying not to laugh rather ruined the effect. "I fear my love shall forever be unrequited."
Melodramatic? Naturally.

"Ohh. Situation is normal, in other words." Heidi poured herself a rather large mug, stirred in sugar and cream, and drank deeply. "That's soooo nice." Heidi wasn't normally much of a coffee drinker, but her wolf tended to crave it on the morning after a moon.
"Anyone else want some, before I drink the whole pot myself?"

"I won't say no to some."
Molly grinned and retrieved her own mug, joining Heidi over by the percolater. She made sure to throw a Cheerio at Devon as she passed, receiving a brief raspberry by way of response. Molly responded in kind.
This was typical behavior for Molly and Devon, especially after the sleepless nights during the fool moon. Sleep deprivation did funny things to people, human or otherwise.

Brody had had a mouthful of toast as Molly had greeted him, and as such, his response was delayed, but heartfelt all the same… albeit suitably groggy. When Heidi offered to share the coffee, the ‘cowboy’-werewolf waved his hand a little, mouth once again filled with the peanut-butter-crunchy-goodness that was his breakfast. Molly snatched another mug for him, earning herself a grateful smile and nod of the head for acknowledgement. “Thanks,” he said, swallowing. He’d finished off his toast by that point, and lethargically lifted himself from his chair to carefully dump his plate and drained milk glass in the sink, rinsing them both off.
“How was your night?” he asked Molly in a cautious, concerned tone. He remembered all too well what those nights were like. The rooms weren’t too small, by any standard, but when the wolf was in command, it sure as hell could feel like they were.

"It wasn't bad."
And that wasn't a total lie. She had experienced worse nights in confinement, when her wolf refused to be calmed. Often times, it had been so violent that she could barely move the next morning from the pain of her over-worked muscles. Hell, she was sore now, but encouraged.
"I almost did it, Brody," she told her packmate in a low tone that still belayed her excitement. "Granted it was almost dawn, but I Changed back, and I stayed that. It was barely five minutes, but..." With a shrug, she trailed off, but a brilliant smile spread across her face; her Change back hadn't been long, but it had been something.

"That's excellent, Molly," Heidi remarked, preparing to make another pot of coffee; she knew she hadn't been addressed, but it would have been difficult not to hear what she was saying, and after all, the younger wolf did deserve some congratulations. "You're making very good progress, you have a right to be proud." She smiled, giving Molly a pat on the shoulder, then moved to see about actually eating something, instead of subsisting only on caffeine.

Molly looked to her Beta and practically beamed. "Thanks, Heidi."
For a moment, she abandoned her coffee mug in favor of the bowl of Cheerios that she had been working on a moment ago. With a careful little hop, the dark-haired wolf perched herself comfortably upon the counter partway between Brody at the sink and Devon, who was still half-buried in the fridge.
"Maybe I'll have full control by next cycle," she murmured to no one in particular. "Wouldn't that be somethin'..."

“That would be awesome,” Brody remarked sincerely, nodding his head, even though he was still groggy. He was cradling the freshly-poured coffee in his hands, standing beside Molly at the counter. He’d smiled at her proudly when she’d said about changing back, and Heidi’s comment had pretty much summed it up. Leaning back against the counter next to his friend, he sipped the beverage carefully, enjoying the strong, almost refreshing taste as it slipped down.
“Changing back at all is definitely something,” he continued in agreement. “I mean, it must have been exhausting, but… feels good, doesn’t it?” He remembered when he had first managed; those brief, few minutes of clarity when he had overpowered the wolf and found himself in a heap on the floor of that room downstairs. Brody had felt utterly drained, but overcome with something not too unlike happiness.

"I'll say," Molly agreed with a laugh. "I just about passed out directly afterwards, but still...wow."
"Atleast you've got something," came Devon's muffled voice from the deep recesses of the fridge. "My wolf barely even waits for the sun to go down before he starts goin' batshit...anybody know where that leftover pizza ran off to?"

Turning his eyes to Devon, Brody couldn’t help but smile. Same old Devon… not that any of them would have him any other way, of course.
“Maybe Jeremy ate it all,” Brody offered, shrugging before draining more of his coffee. Already seriously considering a second mug, he continued, “You know what he’s like with the leftovers.” In fact, it wouldn’t surprise the blonde werewolf to find out that, between them, Devon and Jeremy cleared the fridge of leftovers completely. “He was in here a little while ago, but he went after the cereal.” Brody had been too distracted by his own breakfast to notice which kind.
Returning his gaze to Molly, he said, “So what’re you doing the rest of the day?” He was fully expecting to hear ‘sleep’, but it was simple curiosity that made him ask.

Having polished off her cereal, Molly hopped down from the counter to rinse her bowl out in the sink before she set it in the dishwasher. "I dunno, Brods," she told her blonde companion as she returned to her coffee mug. "Practice, maybe. Or crash in the TV room and watch a movie...m'not sure."
She heard Devon give a triumphant 'Ah-ha!' - he must have found his pizza - and chuckled briefly, looking to Brody again with a smile. "What about you?"

Finishing off his coffee, he continued to cradle the mug in his hands, the sleeves of his overly-baggy sweater nearly devouring his palms completely as he stood there, hair hanging youthfully in his eyes, as always. “Crashing in the TV room sounds good, actually,” he agreed, giving her one of his calm smiles. Relaxing on one of the cosy sofas would be pretty damn good, actually, now that he thought about it. Especially if he had quality company; Molly definitely fit into that category.
Besides, he could sleep all night, if he was still tired later on. He hadn’t managed much rest the previous night, but who knew what the rise of the moon would bring? Maybe he’d just be too exhausted to repeat the previous evening’s routine of… sitting there hugging his knees.

"Well, TV room it is, then," was her chipper response. The younger wolf drained the remainder of her coffee and then set the mug in the sink. "Heidi? Devon? Either of you up for some vegging out?"
"Mophhgk - "
"Whoa, Dev. The order is: chew, swallow, talk."

Devon did as instructed, but not without a withering glare in Molly's direction. "That's sharp, Molls," he retorted with a smirk. "Real witty. You ever think of bein' a comedienne?"
"Crossed my mind."
The young male rolled his eyes. "Right...and no, but thanks for the invite. I've got stuff that needs doing." He grinned and held up his large slice of leftover pizza as example one. "But I'll take a raincheck."

"I might join you in a bit," Heidi said. She was half in the refrigerator as she spoke, emerging with eggs, bacon, butter, and milk. "It was Mara's first time in the confinement chambers last night, and from what I understand, it didn't go completely smoothly. So I'm pretty certain she'll be hungry; I daresay a few of the others will too. I think I'll cook breakfast." She started opening and closing cabinets, pulling down bread, cinnamon, and a bottle of vanilla extract -- all necessary for her french toast recipe. "If any of you are still hungry, feel free to stick around," she added.
