Cole thanked their tolerance to heat for their not noticing the build-up as much as say, a human might, but it was a relief to some degree to get back into the main bedroom itself, away from the steam if nothing else. He was in no hurry to leave the room, but he knew the pack often expected to see their Alphas at certain intervals, so they would 'need' to make an appearance sooner or later, at some location, to ensure no one worried for no reason. It was one of the trials of being a leader, he knew; at least by now.
"Feeling better?" he asked needlessly, smiling at her in a relaxed manner.

Tolerance or no it wasn’t like their minds hadn’t been on other things at the time, so the condition of the room almost certainly would have gone unnoticed in any event. Dia smiled at him, only just shy of laughing as she used the extra towel she had grabbed to help dry her hair a bit more.
After a moment’s pause, as if for consideration, she answered a slight smirk creeping onto her lips as she gave a simple nod. “I think that’d be a yes.” Cole always seemed to be able to make her smile and laugh, even in the littlest of ways. A detail that had never escaped her notice. It was one of the many things she found so endearing about her mate.

"Well that's good," Cole acknowledged calmly, propping himself just on the edge of the bed, so he wouldn't get the covers wet at all; he even leaned forward after sitting himself down, for extra precaution. He offered Dia a considerate, affectionate smile, before glancing to the door.
Idly, he wondered what the others were up to. It never left his mind for long that he was responsible for a rather large number of werewolves; responsible for a good deal of lives. Granted, The Hyperion was safe. He had entertained the thought of extra security for the entrances in the form of codes, but he wasn't sure whether or not that was being a little paranoid, perhaps. It wasn't something that he saw as completely necessary, but he was only concerned for his pack's well-being, after all.

Moving to the closet, Dia quickly picked out something for herself- jeans and a simple shirt- as well as something for Cole as he seemed to almost be lost in thought.
“I’m sure everything’s fine. If anything too big had happened- we would have heard an explosion or something.” Her smirk was somewhat teasing as she set the things down on the bed and retrieved the discarded towel she had been using for her hair. Dia didn’t even really have to ask or take time to consider what her mate was pondering. Cole’s mind was almost always on some matter or other involving the pack. She also knew he wouldn’t be fully convinced until he knew so for certain himself, a state she knew well enough as she was the same way herself quite often.
And they were lucky enough to the point where pack matters were taken care of quite efficiently. Besides, even when they weren’t present there was always Heidi and Steven. If not for their Alphas then most certainly for their Betas, the pack would always be well looked after.

Cole chuckled lightly, nodding his head. He should have expected her to say something along those lines, because really, she could read him like a book. He glanced to his side, seeing her there with the towel in her hands, and the clothes she had picked out set on the bed itself.
"Good point," he agreed, still smiling. "Because explosions? Not so much fun." He grinned, and took hold of the shirt and pants she gotten out of the closet for him. He dressed himself quickly and with ease, using the towel to get rid of any lingering moisture in his hair that might get the collar of his shirt damp.

“Even less fun to clean up,” she remarked amusedly, finally deciding the towel had done her hair as much good as it was going to and moved to get dressed herself. The rest would dry soon enough on its own, and already it was beginning to settle back to its usual state.

"You're assuming, of course, there'd be anything left to clean up," Cole reminded her, fastening the buckle on his belt, which he'd retrieved from the closet. He didn't necessarily need to wear it, but he often donned one for no real reason... such as at that moment.
"Of course, knowing Devon and Cassidy, it's not necessarily something that would get blown up," he quipped with a smirk, moving to sit on the bed again so he could once more don footwear.

“Well the group’s nothing if not efficient,” she said almost idly as she slipped into her shirt, but there was an obvious hint of a smirk when she looked to Cole again.
“As far as those two are concerned, we should probably just be happy there haven’t been any mortal wounds yet.” She paused, laughing briefly, before moving off to retrieve her own shoes, glancing over her shoulder for a moment as she spoke. “On the other hand, they might just need more time to get around to it…”

"Mortal wounds?" Cole pulled a face. "Who's more likely to go for the first strike?" he found himself asking. "I mean, I'd really rather they didn't hurt each other at all, but... who's more likely, do you think?" There was a hint of mischief in his tone, but he managed to keep from grinning. After all, it wasn't really a laughing matter if those two ever got that bad. He doubted they would, but it was still... remotely possible.
Having finished dressing completely, he watched her across the room, silent but still with that hint of youthful mischief in his expression.

For the moment Dia didn’t answer, having more than picked up on the mischief in his tone. Dia gave a short soft chuckle as she stopped to put on her boots before moving back to Cole. Though she arched an inquisitive eyebrow at him, her lips were pursed into a smirk that she was suppressing from becoming a smile.
“Mutual destruction might be a good bet on that one.” Stopping in front of him, she slipped her arms around her mate before leaning up to kiss him briefly. “And I think you have put way too much thought into that.” However remote the possibility may be, considering how much damage the members of their pack could do to one another was not one that was only amusing to dwell on for so long before it started being worrisome.

"Hey," he concluded quietly, smiling briefly, "you're the one who answered the question, remember?"
He leaned down to kiss her in return, brief but affectionate and passionate, despite the length of its duration. Cole breathed in her scent subtly before he lifted his head again, meeting her eyes. "So now what? Head back out and see if there's any 'mutual destruction' to clean up?"

Leaning into him for a moment, Dia let herself enjoy the simple pleasure of their proximity, regardless of the fact that they had been alone for a period of time. And it wasn’t a stated she was overly eager to change anytime soon, but of course, other things came first.
“That’d probably be for the best, yes,” she said looking up at him a moment before releasing the embrace and moving towards the door. If they had stayed that way for much longer there was a good chance they still wouldn’t be emerging from their bedroom for quite some time.

Cole smiled calmly, and let out a sigh she would probably hear even though it was only a whisper of a noise, before moving to follow her. He briefly glanced down to make sure he’d tied his shoelaces before realising he never untied them in the first place. Smirking at his own odd mental slip, he shook it off, and held the door open for Dia, even if she had already opened it to head out.
The male hit the light on the way out, before closing their door behind them.

Dia did indeed detect the sigh, and regardless of it was pleased that her mate had been just as reluctant to part as she had. Not that their affections and feelings were anything less than mutal, but the reassurance was nice, even if perhaps unnecessary after all these years.
On a random look over her shoulder as she moved for the door Dia saw Cole’s glance downwards, and followed the path of vision to his shoes. She was tempted to comment on it, but simply smiled and moved out into the hallway, pausing a moment to wait for him as he took care of the lights and door.

Continued from: The Lobby with Dia.
The journey up to their room had been spent in silence, but he'd cast frequent glances at his mate and offered her occasional smiles as they'd walked together. He had no doubt his smirks would cause her to either roll her eyes or simply lay a smack on him somewhere before too long, but he could admit to himself that he wouldn't mind, either way. She was used to his behaviour, after so many years, and his mischievous side came to the forefront during the full moon; she knew that better than anyone. Mara's little outburst downstairs had probably only kicked it off, if nothing else. It certainly hadn't lessened it.
Holding the door open for her, as way his way, he swung it lazily shut behind her, and then considered the sweater in his hand. "Well, this is gonna need repairing," he said idly, turning it over to inspect the rip in the fabric. His eyes glanced up to meet Dia's gaze. "Or I could just get a new one..." His smirk returned, as if suggesting he knew she'd heard his quip about her hardly being a housewife.
