Cole quirked his brow in a very 'oh is that what you think?' expression, his smirk crooked but amused all the same, before he turned his eyes back on Heidi. Just as he'd suspected, there wasn't much guessing going on yet... and since he'd distracted himself with smacking Steven round the head, he had actually missed what she'd done so far.
Shifting his position a little again so Dia could lean once more, he watched, noticing Cassidy's apparent concentration, as if she was genuinely trying, and not just faking it... for once.

If Heidi had been apprehensive before about actually acting something out, the appearance of her fellow Beta made her even moreso. His laughter wasn't helping, and she shot him a "thanks for your support" sort of look before settling on a subject.
She was not about to ask "the kids" to try and guess something esoteric; there was a limit to her stuffiness, after all. Glancing around for inspiration, she scanned the rack of DVDs next to the large-screen television until she spotted a title she thought wouldn't be too difficult to mime. Forming a circle with one hand, she put it up to her eye, moving the other hand in a cranking motion to indicate an old-style movie camera -- the classic signal that she was acting out a title. Two words...first word, two syllables.
She changed the position of her arms as though holding a rifle, and proceeded to "shoot" the group.

Sissy had noted Heidi's glance to the DVDs, but couldn't for the life of her figure out which one the Beta had settled on. "Okay, it's a movie..." That, unfortunately, was as far as she got for the moment. Her eyes narrowed in concentration, her head tilting to the side as she watched. Which movie, though?

Devon had sat up a bit straighter at the prescence of his Alphas, but now he was hunched forward in one of the rooms cushy armchairs, racking his brain for a solution. True, he'd just been up, but he could still guess.
Nevermind that I have no friggin' clue. But she's got a 'rifle' and she's shooting. Rifle...hmm...
"Some kind-a Western...ummm...."

Cassidy leaned her head against the side cushion at the head of the armchair, and inhaled, watching Heidi.
"Shooting?" she found herself saying out of the blue, blinking when she realised she'd spoken, even as Heidi rewarded her with a grin and a nod.
Crap... halfway there. Don't guess the second bit, you moron, or you'll have to take a turn.

Heidi grinned as Cassidy caught the first half of her pantomime, and then held up two fingers to indicate the second word. Tapping her wrist once in the sign for 'one syllable," she hesitated, trying to figure out how to act out the word fish. The noun was too tricky, so she began behaving as though she held a fishing rod, repeatedly casting an invisible line and pulling it back in.
Do I look as stupid as I think I do?

She really did, but Steven was doing his best not to laugh at her again. He had been trying not to pay attention to the game, but it was a little difficult when she kept making all those funny movements. He caught the first word when Cassidy guessed it, turning away after that. Finally, though, he looked again, seeing the motions she was making. Before he thought about it (or could stop himself), he heard his own voice blurt out "Fishing? Fish?"

Heidi heard Steven guess, and almost couldn't believe it -- not least because he was right. She pointed at him, and he blurted, "Shooting Fish?"
"Yes!" A smugly delighted grin crossed her features. "Your turn, Steven."

Had he thought about it, he probably would have smacked himself for guessing at all. At the smug grin and her words, though, he really wished he hadn't.
. . . . Crap.
Standing up a little straighter he blinked, before shaking his head. "Nah, that's okay. Someone else can. I'm not actually playing."

Cole laughed, looking from one Beta to the other as the wolves all around the room turned to look at Steven; Cassidy actually muttered the word 'spoilsport' when the male declined his turn though, which made the Alpha roll his eyes.
He wasn't getting out of it that easily...
Releasing Dia's hand again, he reached behind her, took Steven by the scruff of his shirt, and gave him a 'helpful' shove forward, more into the middle of the room. "I think she said it was your turn," he added as the Beta shot a look back at him as if in protest. Cole simply smiled as he reclaimed his mate's hand; he wouldn't take no for an answer... he wasn't about to turn down this kind of entertainment, after all.

Oh, this is going to be priceless, Heidi thought happily, reclaiming her chair and watching as Steven reluctantly came forward. She grinned at him, brown eyes sparkling impudently. Serves you right for laughing at me, she thought, making a mental note to refrain from guessing, at least for a while.

"Ahh!" He stumbled forward a bit, shooting Cole a look somewhere between a protest and a glare. He couldn't possibly be serious . . . Steven didn't do things like this, and Cole knew that. When he realized Cole WAS serious, his expression soured into his patented Death Glare. ". . . I do this, you are getting it later. You WILL be next." It was teasing, but with a slightly sullen edge to it.

The Alpha's grin widened a good deal, as his head shook back and forth.
"Oohh, I don't think so," he contradicted, chuckling a little as Dia leaned into him with a smile on her own face. After all, Cole wouldn't be taking a turn unless he guessed, and he had no intention of guessing whatsoever. Really, there was nothing Steven could do about it, even if he did want revenge for being swatted, and subsequently shoved to the front.

He shot the Alpha another look, a smirk of his own crossing his face. He wasn't being smug, or anything - just a little more confident than he probably should have been, considering what he was wanting was very unlikely to happen. "Oh, I know so . . . You will have your turn at being humiliated . . ." Sure, it was very unlikely, but he could always hope for a miracle, right?

Seeing the entire thing unfold Dia kept herself from laughing, settling for something of an amused grin. This was certainly turning out to be entertaining in more ways than one. And really, being shoved in the middle of the game was what Steven deserved for the reaction he’d had in the first place. As Cole took her hand again she simply smiled at him, before turning her gaze to Steven and to the female Beta. The expression on her face was fairly clear to read at the moment. Turnabout certainly is fair play.
