Dia simply nodded in agreement, saving any future quips and the like for more appropriate moments. At times she did often tread the line between the serious and playful fairly closely, but this was usually only when in the company of Cole. She was more than able to put such things aside when need be, and never really left any true doubt as to whether she was joking or serious about something.
With those currently present the consideration that she may as well have a word with Nate while he was around the hotel hit her. It would kill two birds with one stone and she should do so sooner rather than later in any event.

Mara smiled. "Thank you both." She turned and looked down at Brock with a grin. "Thank you and your doctor friend too."
She adjusted her camera bag on her shoulder and moved her bo so it wasn't hanging to the side so she could walk through doors safely. The whole experience was beginning to become almost surreal - going from being alone in the world, and now suddenly having a home and people to learn from...
"Is there a room I can train in? Like a gym of sorts?" Mara was beginning to think that this place couldn't get too much more perfect.

"We have a training room," Cole told her, glancing to Dia, before realising that the other Alpha didn't have to come with them to the kitchen if she had other things on her mind, or other things to do. He could usually tell when she was thinking about something not relating to the matter at hand, and this was one of those times.
"C'mon, I'll take you to your room, and then show you to the kitchen. After that, I can show you the training room if you like." Smiling then when he remembered her true passion, he finally added, "And we even have a dark-room downstairs..." Granted, it wasn't used much, but they still had one. Every now and again, they used it for surveillance, but most of the time it was simply uninhabited.

"Thanks." Mara gave a wave to Nate and a parting pat to Brock, and a respectful nod to Dia.
She walked outside of the music room and waited in the hallway for Cole to join her. Making note of where she was was simple - it wouldn't take long to remember where all the rooms were - all the people, that was another story. She was fairly sure she'd run into more of the pack quite soon.

When Cole and Mara had left, the doctor realised the other Alpha lingered, and the husky at his side wasn't exactly unaware of this detail either. The soothing brown eyes of the canine looked up at Dia, and he gave a quiet yip. Nate scratched Brock's ears.
"I'm guessing," Nate began, taking his hand from the dog's head, "that you wanted to talk to me about something." It was a fair assumption, and though the human had no idea what the female werewolf wanted to talk to him about, it wouldn't hurt to clear up the intentions behind her lingering.

Dia smiled slightly, both at Brock and his owner. A term no doubt the husky might protest to if it was up to him.
Nodding she moved further into the room, closing the distance left now that there were no longer so many others present. “Yeah. Kind of a personal matter of my own.” And there was really no use in beating around the bush about this and Dia really had no desire to so she’d get right to the matter at hand.
“I think I’m pregnant.” Her smile spread slightly and she paused, giving a short laugh. “Actually, I’m pretty certain about it. But I’d like to be absolutely certain before I say anything to Cole.” She and Cole had been mates for quite some time and while the possibility of children had always been present, the matter simply hadn’t come up before now. So many mating pairs went their entire existence without having pups that the matter was generally one of ‘cross that bridge when you come to it’ and well, apparently she had.

To say the least, Nate hadn't been expecting that. When Dia explained, he felt his eyes widen a little, but it was soon followed by something of a... well, the word 'goofy' came to mind; his grin was somewhat short-lived before it turned back into a more manageable smile, but seeing that Dia was apparently happy about it caused him to feel relief. After all, if the potential mother was happy about a suspected pregnancy, then he was allowed to smile about it too, surely.
"Well... wow. Um..." He chuckled, and cleared his throat, getting back into business-mode the best he could. "Obviously this is no place to check up on that, but I'd be more than happy to check you over, and run some tests. Of course, you'd have to come to the hospital." Which meant she'd have to come up with some sort of excuse to leave the hotel, and she'd have to pick some very trustworthy 'guardians' to accompany her on her little trip to the hospital for the tests in question. "When did you wanna do that?" he asked her. He was free for the rest of the day if she wanted it done and out of the way, but if she wanted to wait until tomorrow, then he was more than willing to do that as well.

“Tomorrow would be fine. I can wait a bit if need be.” Though truth be told, she was just a bit anxious to have the confirmation. It was Cole’s child as well, so she did want to tell him but- not until things were certain. She had never really considered being a mother, but even being the fighter she was Dia had to admit she wasn’t exactly upset about the possibility. Perhaps it was her maternal instincts kicking in or something of the like. Of course, that had to be it. Those skills and feelings you never knew you had until you needed them..
“And I’ll see if I can get Heidi to come with me,” she added, an amused smirk appearing. “Between the two of us we should be able to thoroughly boss anyone else who might want to come into staying here.” Which was more than true. If ordered to do so the others would stay behind, no doubt somewhat grudgingly, but they would. Dia already knew the idea was one Kyle probably would be none too happy about., but he’d simply have to deal with it.

Nate nodded. Tomorrow would probably be for the best. If he showed up at the hospital after asking to switch shifts, then it might arouse a little suspicion... and even irritation. Eric was an understanding guy, and a good friend, but he'd only switch shifts for so long. Then again, Nate had essentially gotten him a whole weekend off from the hospital, so he probably wouldn't complain.
"Heidi?" The doctor nodded with a smile. "That sounds like a good idea." He chuckled at her comment about bossing others around, and looked down at Brock, who was grinning in his own canine way. He too - though he didn't know at all was Dia was thinking - knew that Kyle would be one they would have to literally command to stay behind. The Alpha and Beta females would probably be a formidable pair if they put their minds to it. Of course, if Cole found out about it, he'd probably end up heading out after the two with a full group of other wolves, but he knew Dia and Heidi would be discreet and efficient.

“Tomorrow afternoon ok, then?” Dia assumed that would be a window of time most likely to catch Nate at the hospital with whatever shift he may be working. And yes, between she and Heidi, it shouldn’t be too much of a problem to both come up with a reason for and actually slip out of the hotel without an entourage of sorts. Hopefully they could get the trip over with quickly as she knew Cole would certainly be concerned if he knew they were gone. Not to say that her met ‘kept tabs’ on her so to speak, but he was her mate and made it a point to know what was going on with her to a certain degree, just as she did with him. And she didn’t want to worry him she’d just rather know for certain before even bringing the subject up.

Continued from Heidi's Office
Heidi knocked briefly on the music room door to announce her presence. She gave Dia a nod and smile of slightly deferential greeting, then grinned at Nate. "Hope I'm not interrupting," she said. "I just had to come down and say hello to my sweetheart."
As if on cue, the husky scrambled to his feet and trotted over to greet the Beta female, who immediately dropped to her knees and scratched his ears. "Who's a good boy? Hm? Who's a good boy? Yes! Yes!" There followed a few minutes of incomprehensible 'doggy talk' which made Brock's tail wag insanely.

Dia returned the greeting as Heidi came into the Music Room, smile turning to a grin and eventually a laugh as Brock found himself being thoroughly entertained by the Beta. Brock certainly had always seemed to take to Heidi, perhaps because she actually took the extra moment to play with him properly. Whatever it was, it certainly seemed Heidi was one of the dog’s favorites amongt those in the hotel.
“Actually Heidi, I was just about to come and talk to you. I have a favor, kind of, to ask.” Might as well go ahead and finish getting everything settled for tomorrow’s ‘outing’ of sorts.

Heidi, still in the midst of a completely nonsensical dialogue with the exuberantly happy husky, glanced up. Dia didn't often ask for favors, so that by itself was a little unusual; moreover, she looked unusually serious about whatever it was.
"I draw the line at killing someone," the Beta quipped. "But other than that, I'm always happy to help you, Dia. What do you have in mind?"

“Well that’s no fun at all,” she shot back with a smirk before continuing on to her point.
“I have an…appointment with Nate at the hospital tomorrow.” At the mention of the pack’s ‘doctor’ Dia tilted her head in his direction, briefly deviating her gaze from Heidi and then back again. “I was wondering if you’d come with.”

"Oh -- of course," Heidi replied, now mystified. She scratched Brock's ears almost absently.
"You're not unwell, I hope?"
