Sissy was still covering ground, but at an incredibly slow pace. She knew she certainly wasn't fooling anyone- she was curious and that was all there was to it- but she was at least trying to look like she was heading somewhere, even if it was at a snail's pace. Eavesdropping wasn't something she made a habit of, but she couldn't seem to resist for some reason.

Cole nodded. "She's just in the lounge. Hang on." The Alpha male turned his head and with the simplest of glances, one of the silent 'guards' immediately vanished from the lobby, to fetch the Beta female.
"She'll be out in a minute." He eyed the file curiously, but realised he had to draw the line somewhere. He wouldn't ask what it was, or why it was for Heidi. If Marion thought this young man was to be trusted, then Cole believed so as well.

I really shouldn't be lingering like this, Sissy thought guiltily. I should really keep going on my way, but I'm so bored and so willing to put off cleaning up, that I'll swallow my pride and keep going slowly. I'll pick up the pace if something comes up that I feel really isn't my business. With that decided, she kept listening as she moved, still determined to not making her eavsdropping painfully obvious, though she doubted she was doing a very good job at that.

Continued from The Lounge
Heidi strode into the lobby, smiling at the obviously less-than-comfortable legal assistant. "Hello, Andrew, it's very nice to see you. I see you've met Cole. How have you been?"

Looking from Andrew to Heidi, Cole smiled faintly, saying as he stepped back, "I'll leave you two to talk." He could practically smell Andrew's anxiety, and knew it wasn't entirely because of the intimidation factor werewolves normally brought to their encounters with humans.
With that, glancing briefly - and somewhat curiously - to Sissy, he headed back for the TV lounge.

She caught Cole's glance and picked up her pace a bit, but that was just as well. The corner of Sissy's mouth twitched slightly as she tried to surpress a grin. He likes her! That's so sweet. Then another thought crossed her mind that made the urge to grin fade. If Steven finds out about that, I don't want to be around. I can't imagine that being a very pretty scene. She was still walking and her angle kept her face hidden from the rest of those gathered, which she was grateful for, both because of the grin that had threatened and the sudden disappearance of that mood.

Heidi offered Cole a smile as he departed, then turned her attention back to Andrew. "What brings you to the Hyperion?" she inquired pleasantly. "Marion didn't mention that you would be stopping by; nothing's wrong, I hope?"

Finally tired of lingering, Sissy picked up the pace, heading for her room. Cleaning up awaited and the sooner she got it done, the sooner she could stop worrying about it. Besides, if Andrew said anything really interesting, it would probably be pack knowledge before too long.

"Oh, thanks." She took the file, glancing briefly through the contents. It was essentially duplicates of all the court paperwork and other documents regarding the new werewolf, Mara; Marion must have forgotten to bring it along when she herself visited.
"This will be very helpful," she assured him. "Can I offer you anything? Coffee?"

"Oh, all right." Heidi nodded, smiling. "That was nice of her to lend you her car. Well, please tell her we said thank you, and drive carefully, okay?"
She offered him another warm, sincere smile. "I'm sure we'll see you again sometime; now that they know your smell, the others won't be so alarmed when you come."

Kyle was leaning against the counter, along with William, waiting for their Alpha. He was dressed casually but practically; like any human intending to visit a gallery opening. The rest of the group heading out were much the same, having all avoided clothing that would stand out, or be too dark, and therefore be noticeable.
Hearing the sound of footsteps on the staircase, Kyle turned his eyes from the ring on his hand, and watched; waited.
It had been a while since he'd left The Hyperion, so he was actually secretly looking forward to getting out as much as everyone else in the small unit, probably.

Striding down the last few steps, he saw Kyle's head lift from where it had been downcast, and smiled inwardly. William stood at his side, casual but prepared, and Mileena sat in the small, somewhat circular seated area in the centre of the lobby of the renovated hotel. She turned her dark eyes on him almost eagerly. The other wolves were younger than the three aforementioned 'fighters', but that didn't make them any less worthy in Cole's eyes. Even if they weren't what the pack referred to as their fighters, they were still valuable assets, and it wasn't as if Cole was anticipating any violence on this little excursion anyway.
Even as he finished his descent, and headed towards Kyle and the others, he heard the sound of a car pulling into the parking lot, and the familiar bark of a, seemingly, very excited dog.
It sounded like the doctor had arrived.

Nearly tripping over the husky as he pulled open the door, he watched the canine bound eagerly through into the lobby, with a yipping bark of excited greeting. Brock couldn't decide who to pay attention to first, and even as the young human doctor finished getting through the door for himself, he smiled sheepishly as Brock realised Kyle wasn't exactly the key candidate for attention.
The dog bounded over to Cole, but skidded to a halt at the last moment, as if remembering just who this was. Planting himself down, Brock let his tongue loll from his parted jaws, and panted happily, as if saying hello to the Alpha, who crouched briefly to scratch the dog behind the ears in amused greeting.
"Sorry... I don't think I should've given him that leftover Chinese food," Nate offered by way of explanation, seeing William's somewhat stifled smile. Kyle simply watched, and Mileena chuckled gently.

"Remind me to hold back on the Chinese takeout from now on," Cole murmured, noticing the pack members' respective chuckles or smirks at that. True, werewolves were distantly related to dogs like Brock, but it was a tie in the evolutionary chain all the same. He didn't want to have to handle with several hyper werewolves if Chinese leftover did this to your average husky.
Not that anyone could call Brock an average husky.
"Sorry we can't stick around, but if we wanna get to the gallery for the opening, we'd better get going," he said, more or less addressing everyone in the lobby, but looking at Nate in particular. "You're welcome to use the music room; I don't think there's anyone in there. We shouldn't be too long, hopefully."
"All right," the human doctor acknowledged contently, nodding his head and stepping away from the door as the werewolves headed out. Cole was the last to leave, smiling gratefully at Nate as they passed. Heading out into the parking lot, he waited for Kyle to bring out one of the two cars they would be taking, and slipped into the passenger seat alongside the blonde fighter, before they headed off.

Watching the werewolves who had previously occupied the lobby head out to recover the 'rogue' - for lack of a better word - Nate soon found himself alone... save for one rather energetic husky.
"Stop bouncing," he told the dog, who yipped occasionally, as if to try and get attention from anyone other than Nate. "Just... don't make yourself sick?" he almost pleaded with the animal, before figuring he might as well take Cole up on his offer. Bag still in hand, he headed out of the lobby.
