Continued from: The Lobby.
Kyle had decided, after being more or less dismissed by his Alpha, that some quiet time was in order. It wasn't that he didn't love the rest of the pack like a family, but sometimes, the peace and quiet that came with getting fresh air was just so rejuvenating.
Of course, he wasn't out on the roof alone, even if it was silent save for the light breeze that whipped around the tops of the buildings. William crouched gracefully on top of the stairwell 'tower', and Kyle glanced back at the other male, seeing Mileena laying on her back further along the roof, staring at the sky pensively. A very faint smile touched the fighter's face, before his eyes wandered the other rooftops once again.
If anyone needed him, they would know where to find him. Werewolf senses really were an advantage sometimes...

The roof was one place he always liked to just… sit. Or more to the point, perch, as in on the ledge overlooking the city. He was in no danger of falling, his balance being precise, and graceful to the point of absurd. It was part of being a fighter; a warrior. He had to be ready at all times. Of course, having his Alpha tell him he wasn’t needed didn’t exactly make him feel proud, but he understood Cole’s logic, and respected his leader’s decision. He wouldn’t question it.
He watched the light fade, listening intently for any sounds that might warrant investigation. It was more than rare, but that didn’t mean Kyle couldn’t be alert, and prepared to leap into action.

Violet had poked her head out from the door. Currently searching for Jeremy...but instead finding another wolf. She had long since given up the movies...finding that the pack needed desparately to up-date their dvd collection. And stat.
Curiosity killed any sort of cat...or Kitten in Violet's case as she walked over to the younger wolf's side, leaning against the ledge that he was currently on. "You know, it's actually quite dangerous to do that. Someone can randomly push you and you can...fall to your doom." Violet cocked her head to the side. The entire statement was pretty much a joke. Kyle always seemed to have sure footing.
Her wolf paced, wishing that the Brit was younger and not in as much control over the change as she was. The pull of the moon did tempt the blond to change. But tempting was never actually doing.

If Violet investigated the many cabinets and drawers in the TV lounge once in a while, she might discover the true extent of the pack’s DVD collection. Various members made it their duty to keep them all up to date when it came to the world of cinema, and Kyle had to confess to the odd indulgence of action movies himself… though he usually watched them with a straight face… predictably.
He always forgot that Violet was older than him. It didn’t seem right somehow, especially with the way she behaved, and presented herself… so like a human teenager. “Fall to my doom?” He wasn’t about to deny the blonde female a conversation simply because he’d come up for peace and quiet. “Hard to do when you’re a werewolf… oddly feline grace and righting-ability after all.” He glanced in her direction, giving her a knowing gaze with his calm eyes.

Violet looked out into the city, narrowing her eyes slightly. LA was really quite beautiful before grinning over to Kyle. "You never know...they could have a mallet and wack you over the head with it." She giggled softly, think outside of the box. Never inside.
Violet loved bringing up improbable probablities. She liked watching the odd expressions dance across others faces when doing so. "It wouldn't happen, would it?" She wrinkled her nose slightly, putting her chin in her palms as she leaned.

One of Kyle’s usually straight brows lifted at an angle. And he had wondered — one of many times — why she was compared to Jeremy. Naïve of him, really…
“A mallet…” He decided not to question it, muttering the words to himself under his breath, and then gazing across the city again. It had suddenly become an odd situation, he was sure, and he wasn’t altogether certain how to behave around Violet. Should he tell he would rather be alone, or accept her companionship? She was probably only looking for the pack historian, but she didn’t seem to be in any particular rush. And it would be rude of him to ignore her.
“No… it wouldn’t.”

Violetta looked up to Kyle with a smile dancing across her face before pushing herself against the ledge, then hopped to stand on the ledge that Kyle was perched on. She placed her hands on her hips. Oddly, and rather sadly really, Kyle reminded her of the male in her old pack that had been the alphas self-proclaimed body guard as well.
"You don't have to beat around the bush, Kyle. If you want to be alone...just ask." Violet smiled warmly, looking down at the younger wolf.

He looked up at her. He’d often wondered if he was really so transparent, and easy to read, but he supposed that was the problem when he made a point of appearing stoic and nonchalant. If he kept up the same appearance all the time, then his true feelings could probably be detected easier than he thought; people learned how to read the subtle shifts.
“Well, it’s everyone’s rooftop,” he said to her calmly. “You can stay if you want.” He meant it too, despite the rather plain tone of voice. He couldn’t very well tell her to go away, because he had no right. She was free to spend her time wherever she wanted.

Heidi, once again, was meandering the hotel to assure herself of everyone's whereabouts. Her nose, in the corridor, had informed her that Mara, Cameron, and most of the other young ones had reported to the basement accordingly; but she liked to be sure. It was one of her little things she did to try and make the Alphas' jobs easier.
She finished her search with the roof, reasoning that she would stay up there for a little while and enjoy the night air; the roof and the courtyard were really the only outdoor spots that anyone could go during the full moon stretch, because they weren't to leave the hotel. Even seasoned veterans of lycanthropy, like herself and Steven, were admonished to remain at the Hyperion for the three days, both to set a good example and to avoid any possble, unforeseen mishaps.
She pushed open the door, stepping out onto the roof and glancing around. It was almost like a small fighters' convention, plus Violetta, and so there were no young ones to chase. Good. "Hi, everyone," she greeted those already there.

Violetta smiled slightly at the younger wolf. She often had moments where she could act her age, or close to. She leaned over Kyle, rubbing his head with a playful grin dancing across her face. "You were here first though...you could vote to push me over to the otherside." She brushed her blond hair out of her face before glancing over to Heidi and offering the beta a bright grin.
"Oh! Hello, Heidi!" Violet hopped slightly in place on the ledge, regaining a sort of childish eutherism.

Kyle had sensed Heidi coming, and his head had been turned in her direction before the door even swung open. It was part of his job, after all, to be so aware, especially when it came to the leaders of the pack; Heidi was just such an individual.
When Violet ruffled his hair, Kyle honestly wasn’t sure whether to growl, or just blink in surprise. She and Jeremy just… made his mind boggle. He settled for blinking; his wolf did the growling for him, on the inside. No need to be rude. She’s only trying to be playful… I think.
Turning back to the Beta, he offered her a respectful nod, twisting his body on the ledge a little, still in his crouch, to regard her properly. His eyes asked her if everything was all right; he felt… wrong… not being at Cole’s side while the youngsters went into confinement.

"Hi, Violet," Heidi replied. She felt that the best way to deal with the pack's hyperactive duo was to remain firmly calm. "I see it's a nice--"
She broke off, suddenly, and frowned. Turning back around to the door, she sniffed intently. Human....Andrew. I'm almost sure of it...and there's blood. He's hurt. She knew Cole would have been summoned from the basement already, but she also knew that of the four leaders, she was the one Andrew knew best and would be most comfortable with; besides, Marion was her friend, and by extension, so was Andrew. Not to mention that it was simply not in Heidi's nature to stand by while someone was in pain.
"Kyle," she said abruptly, knowing that the fighter would have gone into an alert mode as soon as she'd turned the way she had. "Something's wrong downstairs. Come with me?" She didn't even glance back for the affirmative nod, feeling quite sure he would be right behind her as she descended.

Violet cocked her head to the side with in a questioning matter before sniffing the air curiously. Her wolf's ears perked up slightly as the scent of a stranger's blood reached her nose. Not really a stranger. She had seen the red head before, but just by passing and nothing more.
The blond pursed her lips slightly before hopping off the ledge and following after Heidi and Kyle. She slightly felt concerned for the stranger. So she allowed her compassion to lead her.

Steven crouched near the edge of the roof, staring down at the surrounding area of the hotel. He had remained in the background when Andrew had staggered in, not wanting to crowd the injured human, not with Annelise and then Cole there. Plus, with the whole focus of the room on Andrew, it made sense for one of them to remain in the background, watching everyone’s backs as best he could.
Not that he suspected Andrew of trying to trick them or anything like that, but it was better to be safe than sorry when it came to the pack and especially when it came to Cole. It may not have been Steven’s only job in the pack, to watch out for his Alpha, but it was one he took just as seriously as all the fighters. Cole was more than just the Alpha; he was his closest friend Steven had and brother in all but blood. Steven didn’t relax until Andrew was leaving, the situation apparently coming under control.
He had come up to the roof, partly to watch Andrew leave and partly to reassure himself that nothing else was coming. Steven had, of course, not come up alone, a small group of the pack attaching themselves to him as he passed through the corridors, until by the time he reached the roof there were four besides himself; Luke, Amber, Natasha and Brett.
Thankfully, they seemed content to stay back a few paces, letting him watch the surrounding area in peace, the city quiet under his gaze. Steven breathed deeply, feeling the wolf move inside, the phantom scent of blood still clear, making him restless.

As soon as he opened the door, the ‘fresh’ air hit him in the face, and he took in a deep lungful of it, stepping out onto the roof and letting the entrance swing closed behind him. His gaze travelled from one present pack member to the next, noticing how Brett seemed to tuck himself back, as if worried Cole might push him off the roof for not acknowledging the Alpha. Cole offered the Omega a reassuring, perhaps slightly chiding smile, before travelling to the edge of the wolf, to stand alongside his Beta male.
“So… is the coast clear, or are more human associates going to stumble into the lobby, bloody and battered?” It was only after he’d finished his sentence that he turned his eyes in Steven’s direction, lifting his brows slightly.
