Gareth rumbled his approval of her attentions, losing himself in the gentle brush of her fingertips over his bare skin. His wolf enjoyed it, too, and growled lowly to tell her so; Gareth echoed the creature's sound and pulled his mate to him, pressing a slow kiss to her mouth. With their lips fused together, he rolled and shifted their positions so he could loom over Alswytha, equally protective and possessive. True, she didn't exactly need protecting, but it was merely his nature.
He lowered himself, mouthing over her jaw and neck, across her collarbone with light kisses and nips. His lips traveled their way down the center of her strong torso and he stopped at her belly, which is where he rested his head after he kissed the warm flesh there and rumbled out, "My mate..."

His growl made Alswytha smile, a slow and lazy, but cunning expression that tilted up the corners of her lips ever so slightly. The kiss briefly cancelled out the smile, and she growled against him, feeling her back pressed into the mattress, the wolf in her howling in appreciation of the motion. Alswytha did love dominance, but every once in a while, she couldn’t say no to being knocked off the top by her mate…
With a light groan, she arched her back slightly against him as he trailed kisses down to her stomach, and she looked down at him, her eyes bleeding to their wolfen colour, vivid and feral, as he murmured against her flesh. She stroked a hand through his hair, sighing contently, allowing her eyes to slip closed.

He was at ease, truly. It was only Alswytha who could calm his wolf enough to allow him to relax like this. Old as he was, there was really no seperation between human and wolf; they had blended together seamlessly. Well, almost. Gareth knew he was mad; he embraced it. It didn't make him feeble or less capable. Just more dangerous.
"I long to see you hunt again, love. Really hunt," he murmured after a moment. "I do so love watching you during the kill."

Alswytha knew the power she had over her mate, and the vicious creature that dwelled inside of him. She knew she could calm him, or rile him, or just plain drive him wild. That power over someone made her feel alive, and in control, and more importantly, immortal. She loved feeling like she couldn’t be stopped; that no one could cage her, or contain her, or put an end to whatever she chose to start.
“All in good time…” she murmured against him, her eyes closing languidly as she let images of the carnage to come rush back and forth in her mind. Imagining what they would do would have to be enough for her, for now, but she could at least let her mind go, and truly experiment with the possibilities.

Gareth shifted against her with a low, contented rumbling. "This is a good city for us," he mused aloud. "Don't you think so?"
So many lost souls; twisted souls. Gareth didn't particularly care what condition a prospective pack member's soul was in, so long as they had one, sure thing: loyalty. Complete loyalty for him and his mate. They were, of course, natural born Alphas. Granted, if they had to resort to making new wolves, it could be a bit difficult to build a stable pack. Some humans didn't really take the Change all that well...but Gareth was nothing if not determined.

“Mmm…” Alswytha’s smile was lazy but predatory, her eyes angling up to lock on his strong face. “Definitely…” Catching her bottom lip between her teeth slowly, she considered her continuation, before the words simply tumbled gracefully out of her, her tone fierce but subdued, enthusiastic without being anything but collected, “It’s so dark, brimming with possibilities… death, hatred, anger, sorrow… it’s perfect.” She kissed his chest.
Alswytha, personally, was all for the challenge of ‘making’ their pack, from scratch. Turning previously unaware humans was such a thrill for her, if only to see the looks on their poor faces when they realised all those gripping, spooky bedtime stories from their youths weren’t really stories at all, but twisted truths, bent just a little out of shape, but all holding a strong tang of reality. She loved to see the light of foolish naivety fade from their eyes…

"Well spoken, my dear," he responded with a low, growling chuckle. "So many tainted souls to choose from. But I do know how you love to take the new ones." The old wolf's smile was harsh and cold, another low laugh huffing warm breath against his mate's flesh. "Someone has to show them that things really do go bump in the night."
Really, the ignorance of the human race was disgusting. If it were up to Gareth, they'd all be turned...or killed. Worthless, weak, mortal meatsacks; if they weren't right to be wolf, then they were no better than cattle. He did so love to take the odd human down for a hunt, watch their horror as he showed them their insides. It was, quite simply, a rush.

Alswytha had to admit, she was attracted to the youth of some people, recognising something in the newness of them that she had long ago lost in herself. It was tempting to her; she wanted to break it; taint it and twist it to her own needs and devices, and she did so love seeing the results. Alswytha did enjoy the taste of success. “And who better to do it than us?” she agreed with an eager purr.
Having never been mortal for herself, the old she-wolf failed to understand the appeal of it. How could they go from day to day, like insects, without a care as to the future, and the impending shadow of death that hung over their heads from the very second they were born? They were all living on borrowed time, and frankly, that idea disgusted her.

Gareth laughed again; a thunder rumble. He granted his mate a slow, leisurely kiss and allowed the contentment of his wolf to show through in a low growl. It would be a good night. He always enjoyed hunting with his mate. She was ruthless, violent...truly a beautiful thing to watch.
"Are you hungry?" he murmured when they had seperated. She opened her mouth to answer and he set a finger over her lips, grinning. "For food, I mean."

Moaning softly at Gareth’s growl, such a strong, commanding sound, she returned the kiss her mate granted her, tasting him in her mouth, and feeling his hands roam her body. Her vibrant hair hung in a misleading soft mane around her face as she ran one hand, fingers splayed, over his broad chest, settling it over his heart, feeling it thrum beneath her palm.
Smiling at him, nipping at the pad of his finger, she growled quietly. “Is that an offer?” she asked of him in a low voice, her eyes teasing at the wolf. Her appetite, especially now, was in full swing, and her stomach was reminding her of that very fact as she lay there.

"It is indeed, my dear," he chuckled quietly, moving his hand to stroke through her mussed hair. She looked wild like that; Gareth thought it was undeniably beautiful. "I believe I can find something for breakfast."
And if not, they could venture out into the city. It would give them an opportunity to scope out the city by daylight; get to know it during the day, and they would be able to navigate easily that night. But, it all depended on what was availble and how his mate was feeling. If she prefered to stay in, they would.

After nibbling on his collarbone for a moment, she gave a rumbled purr of a growl, and smiled up at him again. The offer of breakfast, especially after the delay in satiating her literal hunger, was one she found she couldn’t deny, and she knew her mate would do his part to quell her appetite. The thought of venturing out was one that raced through her mind as well, but for now, she was content to stay where she was.
They had found themselves a comfortable place to live, after all; the basement of the apartment building was big enough for their needs, and Gareth had managed to make a very generous offer in order to secure it for their sole use. Alswytha did like her privacy, especially with the goals they had in mind.
“That sounds far too tempting…”

Her attentions garnered another growl; for a moment, Gareth tapped into his full strength. He pinned Alswytha easily with his torso, admiring the way her auburn hair splayed out on the mattress beneath her and the feral flashing of her eyes. He grinned, and his fangs flashed, before he lowered his head to bite the soft flesh of her neck gently.
"Just keep teasing, Alswytha," he chuckled. "We won't get very far if you keep it up."

Her gasped growl was probably all the reply he would need, but as she turned her eerily white eyes on her, even as the wolfen colour bled back to human, she smiled playfully and leaned up into him, watching the animal tease in his own eyes at the contact and proximity.
“Oh, Gareth,” she murmured, “you say that as if you mean it…” Her smile became a wicked grin, and she smoothed her hands up his sides, waiting for the inevitable break in his resolve. Alswytha wasn’t arrogant; she was simply very, very confident in what she could do, and this was one of her best skills…

Alswytha's confidence was most definitely not misplaced. The old wolf tried, really he did, to hold his own, but he couldn't help the twitch the muscles in his sides any more than he could stop his stomach from growling. Loudly. Needless to say, that rather ruined the mood.
He almost laughed -- a rough, growling rumble -- while he dropped his forehead against Alswytha's shoulder. "Come along," he 'ordered' gently as he moved to stand at the sight of the bed. The smirk on his face was lighter than his usually grim expression. "Food first, fun after. I promise."
